The woods of the Bonetail Mountains in northernmost Adria were perilous to say the least, but one of the deadliest beings within now emerged from the darkness of a recall spell. Days had passed, so Malik was sure he wouldn't be found in this ancient hideaway. He entered an unassuming furnished cave and sat exhausted by a desk untouched for centuries.
He leaned back with a long, slow sigh. A small laugh escaped him, and he pulled out the map Golokk had marked. The first mark she had made was of Auraveil, perhaps the apex of arcane magic. He used a quill to scratch it with an X, then turned his attention to another mark - the second she had made.
"Adrians. Just as stubborn as ever," he hissed with a determined smile, "but you never could tell when you're beaten."
