Namjoon had gone back to his apartment quickly to drop yeontan off since they didn't allow dogs in the cafe and since the park was right around the corner it didn't take long.
"Can I have one iced americano and one regular coffee please" Namjoon says to the cashier while taking out his card.
"I could pay for my drink" Yoongi spoke up feeling a bit guilty that he was paying for his drink, when it was his fault for not paying attention to where he was going.
"Too late" Namjoon smiles as he swipes his credit card through the card machine.
Yoongi has the urge to poke his dimples and that eye smile he could just faint right there at that moment. They walked to a seat waiting to get called for their order. The silence was so loud between them. All they could hear was the background music playing smoothly while people talking to each other.
"Uh so....what do you work as?" Namjoon says trying to break the awkwardness between them.
"I'm a veterinarian" Yoongi days proudly
"Ohh that's cool"
"What do you work as?" Yoongi asks the same question not knowing what to say.
"I work in a library"
"Hmm that sounds boring" Yoongi didn't mean for it to sound offensive.
Namjoon laughs while nodding his head agreeing that for some people library's can sound boring but the excitement when you see people getting really into a book is what brings joy to Namjoon.
"Was that your dog?" Yoongi questions
"Not really he's my friends dog he praticly begged me to take care of him so he could go on a date with his boyfriend."
Yoongi hums "Makes sense"
"Huh" Namjoon gets confused.
"Hope you don't get offended but you don't seem like an animal type of person. I could tell the way you carried your dog and the way you seemed bored in the dog park." Yoongi blabbers on like an expert taking in all his experiences he had with many people bringing in their animals with worriedness when their pets were sick or happiness when their animals were healthy. But Namjoon didn't seem to have none of that in him.
" Your right I personally don't own any pets nor would I get one I'm not the best with animals" Namjoon says completely agreeing with Yoongi wondering how he caught on so well.
They stayed silent after that until they got called for their order. Namjoon stood up getting the drinks and going back to the table giving Yoongi his iced americano while he sat down drinking his coffee.
They soon finished their drinks and they threw away their drinks in the trash can walking out of the cafe shop.
"Well thank you for the coffee it was good" Yoongi smiles showing his gummy smile which was namjoons first time seeing him smile or show any emotions on his face.
"Once again sorry for the accident, I as well enjoyed the company for a bit but I gotta head back to my apartment to check up on yeontan, and see if my friend is gonna pick him up."
They both said there goodbyes parting there ways but they both thought the same thing but it was too late.
I should have asked for his number.
