It was morning. I got up from my bed and looked at the mirror. My eyes were too puffy and swollen, while my reddish lips became dry and the skin on my lips were slightly peeling off. I went out of my room and to the kitchen to see if my mom would greet me, but yet again, it's always the post-it. Why hope? There was nothing to hope, but I keep hoping anyways. Like what I always do every single day.

"Good luck in school - mom"

I wish you told me that in person. Just once. I prepared to go to school.

"Hey, Minari!" greeted Kyoko, who was with her group of friends. I want to run away from them, but my legs isn't working. "Come with us at the gym after school. We just wanted to talk to you. Don't be late!" said Kyoko. Her friends smirking at each other. I lowered my head. "If you don't come, then there's severe punishment." She whispered my ear and left with a smile on her face. My gut started to turn. I don't want to go, but I have no choice. As I see them walking away from me, I went to the rooftop of our school. It was raining but I didn't care. I just want to be alone right now. I sat at the benches and curl up my self and begun to cry once again. At least now, they won't see me cry. There was nothing. Nothing.. The word eases my mind, and also burdened my heart. I cried and cried, until I heard a sound.

A voice.

Nobody should be here since there's rain. I followed the voice. It sounds like a person was singing, but their voice was angelic. It soothed my heart and my worries just like a horrendous current in the water becoming a peaceful, clear blue shore. I peaked at the wall, and saw a man. A tall figure, jet black hair, and yellow eyes. He was singing so gracefully. I closed my eyes and wondered my mind. I lost my balance and accidentally clashed into one of the buckets.

"Who's there?" the man asked as they approach to my direction.

As soon as he noticed me on the ground and bruises on my knees. We made eye contact and there were few moments of silence. I could tell that he was shocked.

He extended his arms and asked, "Are you alright?"

Suddenly, the rain wasn't so sad anymore.
