Plot: Tim and Lucy find out about Tamara's past with her parents being drug addicts and promise to never be like that

-3rd POV-

Tim and Lucy had just gotten back from a hard shift of work. When they got back to the apartment they wanted to crash and fall right into bed to sleep. Little did they know that Tamara had something she wanted to tell them.

As the two walked through the door and dropped their bags at the door they looked over and saw Tamara sitting in the living room, in clear eyesight of the door.

"Tam, what's up? You usually are asleep by now?" Lucy asked concerned. With how early Tamara had to wake up to get to school and how late the couple would get back from work some nights they would rarely see each other this late at night unless something was wrong.

"I want to talk to you two.." Tamara mumbled. Lucy and Tim both shared the same look of concern and confusion, before walking over to the couch and sitting down.

"Well, you know how my parents were bad people and stuff but I never really explained it?" Tamara started. Both of the adults nodded.

"Well my parents were huge drug addicts, they tried to do some pretty bad stuff. Uh it got bad at a point and i couldn't handle it so I left and started to live out on the streets. If I didn't leave they would have probably forced me into becoming an addict like them." Tamara explained.

Tamara had tears pouring down her face not only as she was talking but as she was sitting there waiting for someone to react. Time had a look of stone cold anger, ready to kill Tamara's parents for what they did. Lucy bent over to Tamara and started to hug her. Both women started to cry and that's what brought Tim out of his anger. He couldn't bare seeing his two girls cry.

Tim got up from the couch and started a pot of tea. He then walked over to the two girls who were now sitting on the ground hugging each other and crying.

"I-i didn't know what to do!" Tamara sobbed.

"I know, i know." Lucy cried back.

Tim bent down and hugged the two. "Alright it's okay. Why don't we put on one of our shows and drink some tea that I'm making to calm ourselves down, after that we can all go to bed and Tamara, if you want to try and find your parents to possibly arrest them or press charges I am more than happy to do that search for you." Tim offered. Tamara mumbled a quiet 'Thank you', and everyone had gotten up off the floor.

Lucy and Tamara sat themselves down on the couch, and Tim walked into the kitchen to get the tea done and make a late night dinner.

Lucy let Tamara pick out the show that they were going to watch and grabbed a bunch of fluffy blankets for everyone to cuddle under. The tea and dinner was soon finished and everyone was now sitting under blankets and watching the show that Tamara had picked out.

The next day Tim, Lucy, and Tamara headed down to the station together. When they walked in Tim headed to get coffee while Lucy and Tamara did a "background check" on Tamara's "parents".

From the background check, not only did they see that her parents were druggies but they were also alcoholics, and both had been reported to the police by neighbors for noise complaints and domestic violence complaints when they fought. Somehow police looked over all of this.

When atom came back with coffee he gave a cup to both Tamara and Lucy. "Hey Tam, why don't you go talk to Celina about crystals and auras again while I talk to Tim, k?" Lucy instructed. Tamara nodded her head and left to go find Celina.

"Time we need to do something look at this!" Lucy almost yelled as she showed Tim everything that was pulled up on her computer. Tim stared at the screen in shock.

"This is enough information to get a warrant to the house Luce, we can arrest them." Tim said.

"Yeah but what about Tamara? I mean yeah her parents kicked her out but she pays rent for the apartment still, she isn't legally mine." Lucy stated.

"Well we can call Wesley and see if we can get paperwork to adopt her, I mean she is 19 now." Tim replied. Lucy nodded and the two headed off to get a warrant to search the house that Tamara's "parents" lived in.

Tim and Lucy are now standing at the door of the house. The yard looks like it hasn't been taken care of in years and the house itself looks worse. It's a mess in itself but what do you expect? They are drug addicts and alcoholics.

"LAPD OPEN UP!" Tim shouted knocking hard on the door. No response.

"WE HAVE A WARRANT TO SEARCH THE PLACE OPEN THE DAMN DOOR!" Tim yelled again. Yet again no response.

Nolan and Celina were right behind the two. Tim kicked down the door and the four of them walked in the house and began to serve it.

When Tim got to the kitchen her found Tamara's dad in the middle of doing some drug, and when Lucy walked into the living room the saw Tamara's mom downing a bottle of Tequila. All around the house smelled like booze, weed, and a collection of other drugs and bodily smells.

"Hand where I can see them you are under arrest!" Lucy yelled. From a distance she could hear Tim yelling the same thing but quite a few times.

"You are under arrest for possession of drugs and child endangerment." Lucy stated as she put the handcuffs around the woman.

Nolan and Celina continued to search the house for anything else, another kid, pets, anything. Once they confirmed the house was clear everyone headed back to the station.

The two arrested citizens where put into holding and Tamara had finished filling out the paperwork Lucy and Tim had given her about getting full legal custody over her. She was really happy in the end now that her horrible parents were now gone and she had new nice ones to look forward to.
