CHAPTER EIGHTY ONE !
☆
The next morning was a morning filled with digging graves and burying the people they'd lost during the nights outbreak, saying a couple of words for them and making sure they all got the burial they deserved. the prisoners had the chance to leave after henry had left them out accidentally, but a lot of them didn't. henry had also gone missing. carol and some others were out searching.
estella spent most of her own morning making some more arrows like daryl had learned her to do a while ago. she had lost a fair few of hers on the walk to the hilltop, so she needed some new ones. she also needed to find a knew knife at some point. she liked specific knives that felt comfortable in her hands.
she liked when the handle was big enough for her to grip it and not drop it. she liked it to feel trustworthy in her hands, so she knew she had the ability to stick the knife in and straight back out without risk of the walker getting near her, or her dropping the knife before she even got to the head.
tara hadn't gotten sick and figured out that dwight shot her with a clean arrow. she was now on the road to trusting and forgiving him, whereas daryl thought it was the stupidest thing ever and the fact that tara didn't turn was sheer luck. that was it. he didn't want to believe that dwight, the man who tried to kill his daughter, was actually trying to make redemption.
morgan was pretty much up crazy street, he had been acting very strangely and estella had noticed it. he kept staring into space like he was looking at someone, and grunting to himself. she knew that morgan was a little up crazy street to begin with, but something was clearly effecting him and tolling on his mental state.
henry was found later that night in a swamp. carol managed to find him and save him. it meant a lot to her, being able to find a child and help him after she lost her own. it was like a refreshing mindset knowing that she saved him. she helped him. she found him. she did everything for him that she couldn't do for sophia.
morgan and rick got back just after henry and carol did. morgan told henry that he'd killed the man that killed his brother, ben. he killed all the saviours that ran out of the prisoner pen at hilltop. it was a relief to henry knowing that ben finally got justice.
estella finally managed to get some sleep. daryl waited for her to fall asleep before he left the room. she woke up in the middle of the night with a nightmare, but thankfully ottie was by her side to help her. she missed ottie. she was busy helping maggie a lot, so they didn't get to see each other anymore. but now estella was at hilltop, they'd be able to see each other a whole lot more.
the next day, to cut a long story short - daryl, estella and rosita had kidnapped eugene from the sanctuary. there was nothing else to really say except eugene was walking down the street with his hands tied with rope, rosita at the side of him like a bodyguard.
