"Dad there is a hot girl here for you" Mary Kate yelled while her sister wonders off to somewhere with the fruit basket."Thank you, MK. Bring her to the living room, I'll be down in a minute" you heard a man yell from upstairs.
"This way," she said and you followed her into a nice cozy living room. The furniture was modern yet comfortable. A few large windows let in a lot of natural light, making the entire room feel warm and welcoming.
"Y/n Bergman, the one and only" you heard a man say from behind you. Making you turn and look him up and down.
He was wearing a nice suit, he was tall, taller than you, and he had a nice smile. He was exactly the grandpa type you had hoped for, making your nerves calm a bit.
"You know who I am?" You asked. He was not exactly your target audience and the way he said your name felt a little too familiar, nothing like that Robbie dude from before.
" I do. I am a big fan. I am a former soldier myself. I have seen some of your simulations, I think you might be the best rookie I have ever seen" he said.
"Ohhhh, that's nice." That was all you could say. You knew your performance the past year in the military was impressive. However, you also knew there were some pretty sensitive incidents and videos of you being insubordinate that you would prefer never to see the light of day.
"Yeah, it's an honor to have this dinner with you." He said while reaching out his hand. "David Olsen, a pleasure to meet you."
"Y/n Bergman, pleasure is all mine." You said as you shook his hand.
"Well Bergman, why don't we find our seats in the dining room?" He asked and motioned towards the dining room.
"Sure. I do want to say though, I gave a fruit basket meant for you to a tiny blond lady and she ran off with it. Just a fyi, because I would never show up empty-handed to a dinner party"
A loud chuckle escaped from mr Olsens mouth, before he said, "That's fine, I bet the twins already opens it. Unless their mother stopped them."
You chuckled along with him before you both arrived in the dining room.
"Take a seat Y/n, would you like a drink?"
"That would be great"
"Okay, I am a scotch man, what about you?"
"Ohhh, mr Olsen you could not understand how happy that makes me. I would love a vodka sour if you have it but if not I'll don't mind a good scotch." You said with probably too big of a smile plastered on your face.
"You drink like a Viking I see. One vodka sour coming right up," he said with a smile before leaving to what you presume to be the kitchen.
You sat there in awkward silence for a few moments before an older woman came in carrying a bowl of potatoes in one hand and a gravy boat in the other.
"Ohhh do you need any help, please let me take those for you" You quickly stood up and carefully took the potatoes and gravy. "Where do you want them?"
"Ohhh thank you, dear, you didn't have to do that. Just put them down there" the woman pointed and you did as told.
"No worries, I am happy to help."
"That's so sweet, what's your name dear?"
"My name is Y/n Bergman, I am here to do business with Mr Olsen. Are you his other daughter?" You asked with a sweet smile and your hand held out for her to shake.
"Ohhh, you sweet talker. I'm his wife silly. My name is Jarnette Olsen, but you just call me Jarnette." She said while shaking your hand.
"Nice to meet you Jarnette, is there anything else I can help you with?" You asked and for the next few minutes, you helped the woman set the table and whatever else you could do.
