Exams will never be fun

"I'm never doing another exam in my life." Dazai deflates into his seat.

"It wasn't that bad." Todoroki says contemplatively. "All you have to do is study."

The test wasn't hard, but sitting at a desk for hours really did a number on Dazai's back. He's still dealing with the repercussions. It was like doing paperwork for Mori, but ten times worse. At least murders have an element of surprise to them.

Sero groans from a few seats away. "Even with Yaoyorozu's help, I still feel like I barely passed."

To celebrate the end of their written exams, most of class 1-A had decided to eat their first exam-free lunch together.

"I feel you, man." Kaminari agrees empathetically. "I couldn't remember the answers to tons of the questions!" He pats Sero on the back.

"Now I feel worse about it." The black-haired boy says. Kaminari wacks him on the end, but it's rather halfhearted. Everyone is exhausted from the written exams.

The rest of the first years seem as tired as them. He believes every other department has some sort of other practicals besides gen-ed, including the business course. Hishiro mentioned that the second-year exams had something to do with support gear in crises. Fixing damaged support gear using limited time and equipment in a mock battle. Something like that...

"With the right amount of study and rest, everyone had the capacity to pass the test!" Iida argues enthusiastically. "If you are in need of it, I am happy to supply a copy of my study schedule!"

Somehow, Iida's helpful advice only increases Dazai's desire to never do work ever again. He wants to die.

"It's really extensive..." Uraraka faux-whispers to the group.

"Really? I wouldn't have guessed that one coming..." Dazai quips as he pokes around at his food.

On Dazai's other side sits a quieter group. And less tired out, but they're always quite calm.

"We still have the practicals later today..." Shouji speaks quietly to Ojiro, barely bringing attention to themselves.

"I'm not as nervous as I was before written exams. My Grandma helped me train for it last night, but now I'm bruised all over..." Ojiro says bashfully. He gestures to one of many blooming bruises on his exposed tail.

"How is her back?" Shouji inquires thoughtfully as he eats through a mouth manifested on one of his arms. Dazai wonders if he eats like that when nobody is around. Must be annoying

"Well, she's healthy enough to run the dojo again." He sighs. "At least that's what she's saying. The old man is trying to convince her to retire and hand it over to my aunt."

"The aunt that has the similar quirk to my own multiple limbs?"

Ojiro confirms with a firm nod and brings himself back to his lunch. They continue to chatter on, with Tokoyami and Koda pitching in from across the table every once in a while.

Everyone thinks they're fighting robots. Dazai wonders if that's what they're really doing. With the growing unrest in the underground (Dazai isn't the only one who knows that All for One has plans), there is a call for change and the improvement of heroes. He thinks Yokohama's system may be better than whatever the rest of Japan has gotten itself into.

1-A gather to wait for Aizawa so he can give them instructions. For kids who have gone through an attack on the school, they seem awfully nervous. Although... some teachers seem quite deadly. Dazai, for one, would rather not lose his hearing to Present Mic.

"It's going to be robots right?" Midoriya asks nervously, twisting his fingers.

Dazai sighs dramatically, patting his back. "Poor Midoriya. There must be nothing going through that head of yours..."
