Chapter 3

" Colin, please NO!"
"I have to do it,why didn't you tell the police?"
"He said that he'd beat me up if I did"
Colin was threatening to beat hunter up. He just doesn't know what hunter can do. What hunter can do. What Hunter can..... Painful memories where flooding back into my mind
I was only nine at that time. Every week, hunter would take my mother and lock the door of his room. I would always hear screaming and crying. After time, mother would come stumbling out of her room and sobbing uncontrollably. She took my hand and ran to the subway. We sat and ate in the dirty tunnels until mother couldn't take it anymore. She would go to her best friend's house and stay there. I couldn't understand anything. One day mother went grocery shopping. Minutes passed.....hours passed. Julian,my mother's friend was frantically making phone calls. She kept on screaming " I HAVE HER KID YOU FUCKING IDIOT". At last, she came up to me with her face red and her eyes puffy saying " you are old enough to know. Your mother had a fall in the grocery store" then she would start sobbing and saying " I'm so, so , sorry. There was all this blood and-- and she just collapsed....oh nicole... I'm so sorry" I couldn't take it anymore. I ran to my room with my palms over my ears shouting " I don't want to listen!" And that day. Hunter took me under his care. Later, I found out that mother had cancer.

"Nicole? Nicole! " Colin was shaking me and bringing me back to reality " are you still there?! Snap out of it! OK! I won't beat up hunter!"
" NO... BEAT THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS OUT OF HIM!!" I screamed
I finally noticed that a lot of people were stopping and staring at me thinking that I was some psycho. Colin just stared at me. " Nicole..." He didn't continue. He just pulled me into a giant bear hug and kissed my cheek. I felt groggy and my eyes began to shut. I fell asleep on him. In the bus stop. Wow.

I woke up when I felt droplets on my nose. I got up and streched. " MOTHER FUCKER!" I yelled when I saw that it was dark. Colin was asleep. I couldn't help but think that he looked cute when he was asleep. He softly mumbled something " I,..love you too" I almost melted. Cutie. I gently shook him and he woke up. " were we cuddling in the bus stop?" He asked, running his fingers through his hair. I bit my lip. " I have to hide from Hunter....he will... Punish me since I'm late... And yes, we were"
" why don't we stay at my place" offered Colin. I was hesitant. Hmmmmnnnnn
" Yes! "

He unlocked the door and yelled " DAAAADDDD! IM HOME! AND I BOUGHT A FRIEND"
A friendly voice replied " COOL!"
Colin's dad walked into the room. When he saw me , he froze. He laughed and said, "you never told me she was your GIRLfriend" . Colin's face turned red. I guess he looked cute that way because I found out that I was smiling

A cute little brunette with friendly green eyes came running to Colin "CO CO!!" She yelled " I missed you!"
" SAMMY!" He yelled and swung her around she laughed real cute. He put her on the ground. When she saw me, her smile became a frown " who is she?" She asked, putting her hands on her hips and stamping her foot. " Coco, IM your giwlfwend, not her! " I laughed so hard that I almost pissed in my pants. colin rolled his eyes " Nikki," he said. " This is my three year old sister, Samantha"
Another brunette appeared " is this the girl you always talk about?" She asked Colin rolled his eyes " nice way to greet a guest,Tara" he said sarcastically. After a while, sammy finally said " coco! You promised to play stuffed animal fight with me!" Colin led us all to a room where there were stuffed animals galore. He grabbed one and so did I . Tara and Sammy joined in . We kept on throwing pillows at each other until we all collapsed in uncontrollable fits of giggles. " I like you" said eleven year old Tara " your nice"

Later that night,after a dinner of spaghetti and meatballs, Colin showed me to his room. He locked the door and tossed me his boxers and baggy shirt " wear these" he offered. He just stared at me then "ahem...PRIVACY" I yelled " RIGHT! Oh yeah....sorry" he said, turning around sheepishly . After he changed he made me lay down next to him . He put his arm around me and I snuggled into him. I felt so groggy that I fell asleep immediately.

My phone was ringing. I saw the contact name
I almost fainted

This is my first author's note you guys! How do you like cliffhangers? I'm trying to think of a ship name for Colin and Nicole. Nilin? COlin+ niCOLE= ummmmm....
