cozy spring, sunday morning is interrupted by the deafening sound of a lawn mower outside. one of your eyes slightly peels open and is greeted with golden sunshine.you sigh softly before humming and opening your other eye, taking in the sight of an unfamiliar bedroom.
you glance over and see that the drapes are open, as well as the window and you purse your lips, thinking to yourself, 'where am i?'
the question rings through your mind for a moment when you also hear the sound of soft humming coming from the strange kitchen.
that's when it hits you. a savory and sweet aroma of the most divine food ever: pancakes. maple syrup floats through the air and mixes with the bitterly sweet fragrance of freshly cut grass.
you close your eyes and smile to yourself. oh, what a morning.
the crisp and white duvet encapsulates your body whilst the sun blankets over you as well, creating a warm and fuzzy feeling.
"good morning, beautiful," a voice murmurs now next to you. you open your eyes to see the woman you went home with last night. comfort greets you.
"what is all of this?" you ask as you look in her hands and see a tray full of that golden goodness.
"you told me yesterday they were your favorite, so i woke up early to make you some. there's also fruit and coffee for you," she responds.
you can't help but smile, "breakfast in bed. i feel special."
you sit up, the duvet still covering your legs, but you realize your chest is bare. pink paints over your cheeks and you pull the blanket up to cover yourself. natalie chuckles to herself before walking to her wardrobe and tossing you a cottony white tshirt.
"thank you," you mumble bashfully.
"don't worry about it. eat up, beautiful," she places the tray on your lap after you rush to pull the shirt on.
you grab the knife and fork and cut into a pancake before placing it in your mouth. your eyes roll back in your head and you moan in pleasure, "oh my god. oh my god, these are so good. so fluffy."
"you like?" she asks, amused by your reaction, before shuffling next to you in bed, resting her head on your shoulder.
"it's like an orgasm in my mouth! oh my god, thank you," you say with a mouthful.
natalie can't help but watch, the sun illuminating all of your gorgeous features. she's never seen something so perfect.
"nat, you're staring," you point out, a little embarrassed.
"i like to look at pretty things," her voice softens and so does her gaze. the way she looks at you is full of admiration and.... love?
'this is what i've forever dreamed of. this is magic,' natalie thinks to herself.
"then look in the mirror, not at me," you giggle, but this causes her to pout.
"you are pretty!" she playfully argues back.
"am not!"
"are so!"
you both burst out in giggles and she leans more into your body, the warmth from her replacing that from the sun. she is sunshine herself, you know?
"i truly do think you are the most beautiful person in this whole world," she whispers loud enough for you to hear.
"hm, fine," a smile tugs at the corner of your lips, "but i know you are the most beautiful person in the whole world."
"really? you know, hm?" she looks at you, catching your eyes. her brown eyes in the sunlight resemble that of the delicious maple syrup on your plate and you melt.
you nod and bite your bottom lip as you both look at each other, "i do."
the corner of her mouth curls up into a gentle and kind smile. you then feel her delicate hand cupping your cheek and she brings you close. your lips touch and electricity erupts between the two of you.
you never thought you could love spring until you fell in love with the embodiment herself. so warm and such comfort.
"i could get used to this," natalie says against your lips.
"i want to stay like this forever," you reply dreamily.
"nothing's stopping us," she hums softly before pulling back slightly.
"nothing at all," you smile lovingly.
birds replace the sound of the lawnmower, and the smell of spring flowers replace that of golden syrup and fluffy pancakes.
oh, what a cozy spring, sunday morning.
