Pat screamed at himself internally, as he let go of the vampire's hand before taking a few steps back to gather his thoughts. Not only was he caught snooping around the Siridechawat mansion but was caught by the heir himself, Pat didn't even want to consider the implications of this entire affair. His only hope of surviving the night was to try and convince the man to stay quiet, he was practically digging his own grave if his father ever found out.

Pran placed his hand into his trouser pocket but didn't turn away from the Jindapat heir. Pat averted his eyes from the stoic gaze of the other for merely a second. "I think th-" He began his attempt at negotiation as he turned to face the vampire again, but he was once again alone in the dimly lit hallway.

"Well shit." He said to no one as he let his head fall backwards onto the cold wall behind him. Now his only hope of seeing the sunrise tomorrow was the possibility that Pran wouldn't blab about his snooping to his parents or even worse... Pat's Father. The idea of coming down to the meeting hall and be faced with that look his father gave him when he was disappointed in him, which if Pat was being honest, was a lot. But he didn't want to dwell on that so he headed back down the hallway to the servant door he had entered from and made his way back to the ground floor where he could hear the sound of people and music getting louder the closer, he got.

Once he arrived back at the foyer, he and his father entered from he tried his best to go unnoticed as he made his way to the exit, he really needed some fresh air right now. But of course, being the heir of the Jindapat family and this being his first attendance at the annual meeting, as soon as he was spotted a swarm of guests crowded him who began bombarding him with questions he couldn't answer and anecdotes he didn't care about.

Pat was about to leave unceremoniously by just ignoring the attendees and pushing through, but he stopped himself as his father's words from earlier that night rang through his head. "If you embarrass me tonight, I will make you regret it for the rest of your life. I will not appear inferior to them because of you."

So, he stayed and made meaningless conversation with people he would forget as soon as the interaction was over. They asked about his father's business, how his degree was going, and his achievements. It worked to remind his that none of them actually cared about him, well at least who he was as a person and not just 'Pat Napat Jindapat of the Jindapat Pack' or 'Pat Jindapat the heir of the Jindapat family'. None of them asked about him, not about how he felt being put in this position or about what he enjoyed outside of his numerus awards in sports and extracurriculars his father forced him to take. After a certain point he could feel his mouth moving without fully being aware, responding politely to every back-handed compliment or shallow remark.

As a werewolf Pat's heightened hearing meant that it was hard to be in loud rooms for prolonged periods of time since it just meant everything became almost deafening. Over the years he, as most werewolves, learned how to block out a lot of background noise to combat this problem so he was usually fine in these situations. However, right now everything started to feel increasingly overwhelming as the seconds ticked by. Despite going against his better judgement, he made some poorly thought up excuse and left swiftly for the exit.

Once he was outside, he suddenly felt like he could breathe again. Dusk had long past and now the sky was black, grey clouds covering the stars he so loved and moon he so hated, he missed the sun at times like these. He walked to secluded area of the garden and sat down on a dark oak bench before taking out his phone from his trouser pocket to check how long it was until he would have to go to the meeting room, which now he was thinking about it hadn't seen on his adventures in the house earlier, but he pushed that thought away as he turned on his phone. Pat figured he had a few minutes to spare as he cooled off, he was always the one to arrive fashionably late anyways.
