How we came to be Miraxus

It was the year Laxus hated the most, not because the number seven never seemed to give him bad luck but because it was the year the noisy pink haired (or salmon as he would say) dragon slayer had joined. Natsu had made the guild a rowdy place and Laxus longed for the peace and quiet the guild used to be.

What would make his year worst is that after a couple months, three white haired siblings joined Fairy Tail, two girls and one boy. The boy was a wimp and Laxus hated weak people, it reminded him of himself. Not that he would admit it. The younger girl was nice and rarely wore a frown on her face, she was petite and had yet to learn magic, like her brother. Laxus groaned. If Elman and Lisanna (he found out their names later) can't use magic then they better leave, this guild doesn't need anymore weaklings than it has now Laxus thought with a scoff.

Their sister, Mirajane, oh he just wanted to get rid of her. It was annoying seeing her brood in the corner of the room with her black cape on. She would just sit there with dull eyes like she hasn't felt happiness in all of her life, she wouldn't even talk to anyone but the master and her sibling. If you arent communicating with anyone, then leave Laxus thought bitterly and a tick appeared on his forehead. But she didn't. She stayed. And her two wimpy siblings (Laxus' words, not mine!) learned transformation and beast soul magic, which was similar to Mirajane's demon take over magic. But as hard as the two younger siblings tried to get stronger transformations (to protect their sister of course), they would never be as strong as their older sister, and Laxus respected how hard they tried. But he wouldn't admit it. Never. He just wished that Mirajane would stop being so anti social for once.

Oh he wish he could take it back. Mirajane's personality had changed drastically and he hated it. Don't get him wrong, it was nice seeing her socialize for once (he would never admit that) but she was a b**** (his words, not mine!). She'd pick a fight with almost anyone in the guild and even declared a rivalry with Erza and even Laxus thought that was suicidal for a girl, the same age as Erza (yes same age), to pick a fight with her. But Mirajane caught Laxus by surprise, she kept up with Erza and even equalled in strength with her. Their rivalry grew and Erza was the only person in the guild, except Lisanna and Elfman, to call her Mira, which Laxus didn't get at all. Heck, even everyone else in the guild didn't understand. Those two were just too complicated. Loads of people, mostly the kids, wanted to call her Mira but they were just too scared that she would beat them up if they did. Heck even Laxus was scared. Again, he would never admit it. Ever. (No not Evergreen)

The guild seemed to get even noisier, to Laxus' dismay, when Natsu and Lisanna hatched a 'dragon'. The stupid cat would yell 'Aye!' and would fly to Natsu and rest on top of his head. And Laxus thought he was going crazy, and he could list three things why.
One: cats weren't supposed to look like a chibi version of themselves nonetheless have
blue fur!

Two: normal cats can't talk! It didn't make any sense how the cat could speak like a
human being!

Three: Laxus was sure that cats can't fly... or stand on two legs. It was illogical!

Laxus told these things to his grandfather but he just laughed it off saying that he should cut loose once in a while. Cut lose! Laxus thought I can't cut loose when I might meet the love of my life! Let me explain. When Laxus was young, his parents had taken him to the fortune teller (yes Laxus believes them, it is the world of magic after all) and the fortune teller said 'the day cats could fly, is the day you would come eye to eye with the love of your life'. Laxus never thought that a cat could actually fly, so he never thought about it until now.

Being the idiot he is, he exited his grandfather's office into the guild hall in attempt to leave as soon as possible. But luck wasn't on Laxus' side that day (more like the whole year). As he walked past the partying guild members, a flying someone came crashing into him. He opened his eyes to see the bright blue eyes of...

"M-Mirajane!?" Laxus blushed and noticed their position. He was lying on the floor whilst Mirajane had her arms next to either side of Laxus' neck. Wait! Does this mean Mirajane's the love of my life!?" Laxus thought.

"W-what are you doing, pervert!?" Mirajane yelled and looked away, her face red.

"What am I doing!? You're the one that came crashing into me!" Laxus retorted.

Mirajane got off of him and ran off to find Erza before yelling "SHUT UP! I CAN DO WHATEVER I WANT, YOU JERK!" Leaving Laxus to process what happened. He quickly stood up and walked to his apartment. There's no way me and Mirajane could ever become a couple he thought its just isn't possible. I'm 16, she's 12! There's a frickin 4 year age gap!

(Oh Laxus, when will you learn that you can love anyone no matter the age difference well, he will learn that soon HEHE)

Meanwhile in the Strauss house...

Mirajane started strangling a doll that she made, that looked suspiciously like Laxus. Ugh Laxus, I hate him! Thinking he's all better than me, I'll show him! She thought.
