Alex Moskowitz sighed as she stepped out of her van. She adjusted her top a little before grabbing her bag out of the vehicle. She slung it over her shoulder as she shut the door and looked around. She took in the campus surrounding her. She saw people of many ages all around. As she started to make her way to the building, she heard the Dean from speakers.

Dean Pelton, spoke into a microphone, "Good morning. Many of you are halfway through your first week here at Greendale, and as your dean, I thought I would share a few thoughts of wisdom and inspiration. What is community college? Well, you've heard all kinds of things. You've heard it's loser college for remedial teens,"

As Alex walked she saw recent high school graduate, Troy Barnes. Who she went to school with.

"middle-aged divorcees, and old people keeping their minds active as they circle the drain of eternity. That's what you've heard. However, I wish you luck! Okay, you know Uh-oh. Okay, there's more to this speech. There's actually a middle card that is missing. Can we all look around our immediate areas?"

Alex snickered a little at how bad the Dean's speech was. He was trying but kinda failing. She continued walking. She saw some guy who was probably early 30s talking to some darker-skinned boy. The older guy looked kinda familiar, but she couldn't quite place why. The other guy was kinda cute though.

She walked into the building and she pulled her schedule up on her phone, she still didn't have it memorized. She did have to make a stop before going to her first class. She had to go see Professor Duncan. She sighed a little as she glanced around trying to figure out which way his office was. She saw some guy with star-shaped sideburns. She thinks she saw him in her Spanish class.

"Um, sir?" she said and he looked at her. "Do you know where Professor Duncan's office is?"

"Oh, yeah," the guy answered. "It's that way." he pointed down the corner.

"Okay, thanks," she nodded. "I'm Alex by the way."

"That's my name too," the guy said.

"Cool. That'll be easy to remember then. Well, Alex, I'll see you around."

"You too, Alex."

Alex gave a small wave to the other Alex as she started to walk away. She went down the hall and found Duncan's office. She was going to knock but she could hear talking from through the door. She decided to wait. She didn't plan to eavesdrop, but she could kinda hear them.

"I am in a bit of a jam. The state bar has suspended my license. Uh, they found out my college degree was less than legitimate," said a voice.

"Well, I thought you had a bachelor's from Columbia," another voice.

"Now I have to get one from America."

"Oof."

"And it can't be an e-mail attachment."
