My name is Ella Zuko. My twin brother is the one and only Danny Zuko. It was the summer before senior year and I was hanging out with my brother and the girl he met at the beach. I started getting bored and looked to the sky and saw that the sun was going down.

¨ Hey, Danny,I'm going to head home ok?¨

¨Ok,Ella see you at home¨

¨Bye Danny bye Sandy¨

As I was walking home I pulled out my pack of smokes and lit one. I continued to walk home when up ahead I saw my crush, Kenickie.

¨Yo,Kenickie¨ I yelled

When he turned around I ran up to him.

¨Whats up,Ella¨

" I was just headed home and was wondering if you would walk with me?"

"Ya i can come on,Ella"

We started walking as we where his hand kept hitting mine and I have a feeling it wasn't by accident he was far enough away that it shouldn't touch mine unless he was reaching out to do so but I said nothing.

"Hey, Kenickie, you want a cig? I have a pack on me that I took from Danny."

I held out the pack to him after I took one out for myself

" Thanks,Ella"

He then reached over and took one from the pack and pulled out his lighter and lit his first then held it out to me. I leaned over to light mine after I did , I said.

"Thanks,Kenic"

He looked at me with slight shock on his face

"What did i say" i asked

"You called me Kenic you never do that, i was just a little surprised is all."

"Well get use to it, I like calling you that"

{ I would like to call you something else but I can't you are my brother's best friend}

As we reached my house I started to think about what Danny would say if he found out that I am in love with his best friend. The thought sent me into a panic attack that sent me to the ground. My panic attack made Kenickie stop and turn to look me, when he saw the way I looked he ran back to me and sat next to me

" What's wrong, Ella?"

Just then Danny came running and dropped down next to me

"Ella, what's wrong? Are you having a panic attack?"

My brother asked me. I nodded my head then I leaned into Kenickie to ground myself. After about a minute I felt arms around me so I looked down and there was the blue sleeve of Kenickie's shirt. When I had calmed down i tapped his arm and said

" I'm good now, Kenickie. Can you help me stand? I think I hurt my leg when I fell."

He unwrapped his arms, stood, then held out his hand to help me stand up. After I was off the ground I tried to stand on my leg and I almost fell over, I would have it Kenickie didn't still have my hand, after I regained my balance I said

"Yep, I hurt my leg. I can't stand on it."

Danny then looked at Kenickie and said

"Carry her to the house for me. I have to go let our parents know that she's hurt."

He then ran to the house and without a word Kenickie picked me up princess style and started walking to my house.

When we got there Danny was on the porch waiting for us

"Thanks for helping me home, Kenic. Danny, would you help me to my room please so I can get off my leg for the night."

After I was put down I gave Kenickie a hug for helping me home and started up the stairs to my brother. When I reached him I went past him to the door and leaned on it so he could talk to Kenickie before we went inside. I pulled out my pack of cigarettes and my lighter and lit one then I held them out to Danny and Kenickie to see if they wanted one Danny took two one for himself the other for Kenic.

After we finished smoking Danny and I went inside when i turned to shut the door i saw Kenickie sitting on the sidewalk and I then said

"Hey Kenic,do you want to come inside it's gettin' late and i know your house is a little ways away you can stay tonight if you want."

"Thanks kid, that would be good. Am I taking the couch or staying in Danny's room?"

"I have a couch in my room if you want to stay there. It's on the other side of my room and I have curtains over my bed so Danny and my parents should not get mad because we will be separated."

"Ok thanks Ella i'm going to borrow some clothes from Danny."

"Ok Kenic."

I then went to my room and got changed for bed and climbed in my bed with the book i have been reading. I looked up when I heard my door open and it was Danny.

"What's up Danny?"

"Why are you letting Kenickie sleep in your room?"

"Because my room is the only one with extra space for someone else to sleep and was going to pull my curtains shut around my bed tonight and leave the door open. I know mom and dads rules when one of your friends is in my room."

Just then Kenickie came in and went to my couch where I had extra blankets and a pillow for when I had my friends over Jan, Frenchy,and Marty ( The Pink Ladies), and sometimes Sandy would stay the night and we would have a girls night in my room and we would talk I would tell her everything about my crush on Kenickie and she would talk about what Danny had done that day.

"Ok Danny I think it's time to sleep goodnight."

"Goodnight,Kenick" I said before I started to close my curtains

"Goodnight,Ella." Danny and Kenickie said at the same time.

Danny then left the room and went to his own and left me and Kenickie alone again I shifted in my bed to get comfortable and face the couch that Kenick was on and tried to sleep but I couldn't so I opened my curtains and went to my window, that was actually a balcony, and grabbed my pack of smokes that I keep out there and lit one. After I lit it I heard movement and looked in my room and saw Kenick getting off my couch and walking to me.

"What are you doing up, kid"

"I couldn't sleep, what about you, Kenick?"

" I can't sleep either."

After he said that I held out my smokes silently asking if he wanted one. He took one and I handed him my lighter so he could light it.

"Hey Ella you know i'm not much use when it comes to emotions but i was wondering if you had a crush on anyone you know so i can tell Danny you know how he is"

"Kenick I know that about you and I do have a crush on someone I am not going to say who it is because Danny would make me stop talking to them and I don't want that but it is someone I am very close to and hang out with a lot"

"So it's one of us T-Birds"

"Yes Kenick but I will not say who you will have to figure it out on your own."

With that said I went and climbed back in bed this time facing away from Kenick and fell asleep but not before I heard him say

"I hope it is me that she likes I have liked her for almost 2 years now"

And with that I fell into a deep sleep with a smile on my face.
