Y/N walked to check who's it ,then surprised to see her brother behind the door. She was taken aback by the unexpected encounter.
She then remembered that her brother told her not to let anyone else into the apartment except him but now she let Mingyu inside the apartment. She quickly grabbed Mingyu's shoes and ran quietly to the living room. Mingyu was pushed into her bedroom by Y/N, and the shoes were thrown on the floor. She locked the bedroom door from outside.
Y/N then ran back to the living room and opened the door for her brother.
" What took you so long to open the door?" Her brother, Wonwoo, looked at her suspiciously. Y/N laughed nervously, trying to come up with an excuse. "I was, uh.. looking for my keys. I couldn't find them anywhere!" Wonwoo raised an eyebrow, but let it go. He stepped into the living room, and Y/N closed the door behind him.
Wonwoo sat down in the living room, and Y/N took a seat next to him. He looked at her carefully, still not convinced by her explanation. Y/N squirmed in her seat, feeling a little guilty for lying to her brother.
Y/N, feeling guilty and uncomfortable, tried to break the tension with a joke. "So, do you want to hear a joke about paper?" Wonwoo, still suspicious, replied with a simple, "No." Y/N, undeterred, continued, "Never mind, it's tearable."
Wonwoo raised an eyebrow, but the corner of his mouth twitched in amusement. He finally cracked a smile and shook his head. Y/N smiled back in relief, the tension finally broken.
"What did I get myself into?" Wonwoo chuckled.
Y/N asked if her brother would like soda or tea. Wonwoo smiled and shook his head. "I'm fine, thank you," he said. Y/N nodded and went to get herself something to drink. She returned with a glass of soda and sat down beside him. Wonwoo smiled at her and asked what she was doing this weekend. Y/N laughed and told him about her plans.
" Bake for your friend?" Wonwoo was surprised since Y/N never want to bake for anyone after their mother passed away. Y/N nodded, her eyes glistening. She explained that it was her mom's favorite hobby and she wanted to honor her memory. Wonwoo smiled and gave her a hug, understanding her pain and letting her know that he was there for her.
Y/N began baking, using her mother's old recipes and tips she had taught her. When she was done, Wonwoo was amazed at the delicious dessert she had created. He thanked her for making it and told her how proud their mother would have been.
Y/N smiled and said that she was sure her mother was watching them. She felt a warmth within her, knowing that her mother was proud of her. She and Wonwoo enjoyed the dessert together, cherishing the moment.
" I have to leave." Wonwoo stood and kissed Y/N's forehead. Y/N felt content and watched him walk away.
Y/N quickly locked her apartment door and ran to look at Mingyu. "Are you there?" she asked, as she noticed Mingyu was sleeping in her bed holding Y/N's photo album book.
Y/N smiled and quietly sat down beside him on the bed. She gently brushed away a few strands of hair from Mingyu's face and as she did, Mingyu opened his eyes and smiled. "I'm here," he said.
Y/N smiled back and laced her fingers with his. "Yes, you are," she said, her voice filled with love and tenderness. Mingyu let out a contented sigh and closed his eyes, feeling safe and secure in Y/N's embrace.
He leaned in and kissed her forehead, savoring the moment. Y/N snuggled closer, her heart beating in perfect harmony with his. They stayed like that for a while, content in each other's presence.
He slowly closed his eyes, feeling more at peace than he had in a long time. The warmth of her embrace was all he needed to feel loved and secure. They were home.
