This is a sequel of my very first story I Knew I Loved You...Did you?

I have a few plot lines for this story, I just don't know yet where I will go with it. It can actually stand on it's own without you reading the first story. But I guess, it would help answer some questions if you do read the first one before this one? That will be up to you.

Hope you like it! If not that many people like this sequel I will stop writing it and move on to another story as I really didn't think in the first place to write one but I gave in to all the requests for it :)

Don't forget to COMMENT/VOTE/FAN

HAPPY READING!

~Alex~

Today is Christmas day. A day of giving, and receiving; I have been avoiding my cranky wife as she is a week late from her due date with the babies. I am currently couched down on the grass against the balcony in the back yard just looking out the beautiful lake Como. I guess I didn’t plan all this out right from the beginning; I mean, we really didn’t have that much of a honeymoon after we tied the knot six weeks ago. Don’t get me wrong, I love my beautiful wife, it’s just at times like these, I wish I were somewhere else. What happened to those days where we were just relaxing and enjoying each other’s company watching movies and lounging around our house not caring if we were acting like a sloth? God I missed those days.

“ALEX!!!!!!!!!” she yelled followed by a blood curdling scream from upstairs in our bedroom. I immediately snapped out of my musings of an escape plan as the scream alerted me that it is time for the babies to come out and end my misery. You can’t blame me for being bitter; it has been a torturous week  full of me being blamed for Amy’s current condition. I tried my best to not snap at her as she does get on my nerves; god, I hate this pregnancy stage; women and their hormones.

“Alexander, come help me move her to the tub” Nonna Carmen said as she helped a very pregnant Amy off the bed. I snapped to attention as I swooped over to help my wife half carrying her to the massive en-suite bathroom that we have in the room.

“Ah!!!” Amy screamed again almost digging her nails on the back of my neck. Good god, woman, when did become so strong, I thought. But decided to keep my thoughts to myself as I didn’t want to get the butt end of her wrath from the pain.

“Over here, put her down slowly” Nonna Carmen instructed pointing towards the half-filled marble claw-footed tub.

I slowly eased Amy in the tub hoping that this was the real deal as we had some false alarms in the past. Her contorted face relaxed once her body submerged in the water. I brushed off her side bangs that fell over her closed eyes. She opened them and locked eyes with me.

“I have Mrs. Vercelli here to assist with the childbirth” Nonno Luigi said sounding nervous as he ushered a middle aged woman in the room. I looked over them as they approached us and Nonno does look like he would faint at any given time.

“Are you ready?” I asked my wife. She nodded her head as another contraction kicked in. I had my hand in hers and she is crushing my fingers together.

“Just breath, breath, c’mon like we practiced” I cooed as I wiped a cool towel over her sweaty forehead.

She started copying my breathing and slowly her hold on my hand was loosening. Which also means the contraction had past. Yeah, yeah, I’m somewhat of an expert on the mechanics of childbirth; how? Well, I had to attend birthing classes & read pregnancy books. I wanted to be prepared for my wife & unborn babies.
