Caitlin's POV

Ever since that night me and Barry went out, it occurred to me recently that it's almost been a year and it hasn't left my mind, not for a minute. It shouldn't be possible.. I mean he's just a friend. right? I have to focus, I can't let this distract me from helping him

"Hey Cait? Cait?" he says in a concerning tone while waving his hand in front of my face

I jump "Huh?!" I got distracted from that whole night that wasn't a complete memory

"You good?" still in a concerned tone he asks me while sitting up on the bed

"Yeah, yeah. Something's just been on my mind recently, I'm fine though.." I tell him, trying to not make him worried or anything

"You can tell me. I'm here for you." he says sounding like he's trying to encourage me to tell me but there's a 99.9% chance I will not tell him and probably never will

"No. I'm fine, really. Your vitals are just fine while your getting faster, nothing's changed so far. That's pretty good." I tell him to avoid the whole situation

"Okay, I gotta meet Iris at Jitters. I promised I help her with an interview with-" My thoughts drifted away before he could even finish his sentence, him and iris. I can't, I can't ruin the relationship. They're too happy for each other, there's no way i'll ruin that but feelings that aren't even true. What's wrong with me?

Barry's POV

While Caitlin was drifting off again, Iris called and canceled. But Cait looked like something's bothering her and it's so obvious. I don't like seeing her like this i feel like it's hurting her more than distracting her..

"Cait?" I asked even more worried

"Huh?" she jumped again "Wha-What's wrong Bear?" she asked me trying to sound normal like she wasn't drifting off 5 seconds ago

"Iris cancelled on me, again.. Something's really bothering you. What's wrong Cait?" I ask her one last time still concerned about her

Caitlin's POV

I love how he's so concerned for me. He shouldn't be. He shouldn't find out that his friend had a crush on him that can't happen.. I want to tell him the truth but I don't think we'll be the same after. What am I supposed to tell him? He keeps asks and he's so worried, maybe I should just tell him about that night and that would be all. yeah, yeah it sounds like a good plan

I sigh.. "Since your so concerned about me, even though it's nothing. I've just been think about that one night we went out to that bar together, searching for people. I guess, it sorta occurred to me that I haven't dated since Ronnie?" Dammit!! Why did I say that?! Oh no what is he gonna say now?

"Aww, it's okay Caity you'll find someone soon." he says it so positively, it's impossible to not believe him. but he's the one I want..

"Hopefully." I mutter on the side of my mouth hoping he doesn't hear it

"Hey. Why don't we go to Jitters and get coffee?" he asks so causally, how does he do this?

"S-Sure?" I hesitated at first but how could I say no? i mean it's barry.

"Okay! Let's go!" he picked me up and within a second we were at Jitters

When he put me down I felt dizzy and the that was the last thing I remember before I fainted

Barry POV

She fainted and I caught her.

"Cait?" I slapped her face lightly trying to wake her up but it was no use so I brought her back to S.T.A.R labs and placed her on the bed

I called Cisco to help

15 minutes later

Cisco entered the lab "Hey. What happened?"

"Me and her went to Jitters, so I ran us there but when I put her on the ground she fainted." I tell him

"That doesn't sound too good. I'll check up on her." he goes up to check all her vitals

I kept roaming around the room

"Dude, she'll be fine." Cisco finally tells me after he watches

"If she's fine, she wouldn't be laying in a bed." I started to raise my voice

"Woahh, lower it down a bit." he tells me while motioning his hands up and down

"Sorry.. I'm just worried about her.." I realized that she may be more than just a friend.. no. I'm with Iris, there's no possibility for us anyways.

I sit down next to her watching until she wakes up.

Caitlin's POV

I wake up with someone holding my hand, the warmth felt so nice against mine. I turn to look and it was him. Barry was holding my hand while he was asleep, his head laying on my stomach, my heart racing.

I brush my fingers through his soft hair until he wakes up. "Hey you." I say all wearily

"Hey, you're awake." he tells me while his stupid smile lights his face up

he goes scoots closer up by my chest, him listening to my heart race, faster and faster.

"How are you feeling?" he asks while he lays his head on me

"Tired." i responded rolling my eyes

"How long did you stay for?" i asked then i started playing with his hair again

"Since you passed out." he sits up and looks at me straight into my eyes

Barry's POV

I look into her eyes, her beautiful brown eyes. Just waiting for something, something to happen. I cupped her cheek and I kissed her..

I pulled away "shit." i whispered

"I-I-" speechless, she's speechless, i don't blame her.

"i'm sorry Cait. I'll get Cisco." I ran out from there

Caitlin's POV

He.. He just kissed me. I laid there speechless not knowing what to do. He kissed me and pulled away. I didn't want him to leave, but he went to get Cisco. I love him, Barry Allen. I didn't know he felt the same. I can't do anything, he's with Iris. He's not mine.. It's always gonna be their relationship instead of us
