Yinka had come earlier this evening under the guise of doing work. She said her apartment was under some sort of fumigation.

She brought snacks along.

This girl is so persistent. I know she's been trying to be my friend for a while and honestly, she's a real cool person-

-But it's always the cool ones.

"Girlll, have you seen that hot model that came in some days back?" She asked and I watched her as I took some Oreos in my mouth.

I shook my head cause I know if I admit, she'd want to know the details which I'm not ready to indulge in.

"Well he moved in some days back and he's hot! His accent, mind-blowing. His voice, sexy as hell. I get wet just thinking about him."

My eyes go wild at this being sitting across me on the dining. She acted like she didn't say something outrageous as she typed away on her laptop.

"Yunno I was thinking that maybe we could go grab breakfast at Coffee and Cakes sometime. What do you say?" She says looking me dead in the eyes.

Coffee and Cakes is my favorite cafe of all time. I go there to relax and just cool off or write sometimes because I tend to get inspiration.

"How do you know I love Coffee and Cakes?" I asked her because she was getting creepy.

"Well, I happen to be there sometimes." I give her a side eye. " Okay, I saw you go in a couple times."

"You're stalking me." I simply put.

"It's not news that I want to be friends with you. I'm lonely, you're lonely. Why can't we be friends?"

I don't give her an answer because I already consider her a friend. I mean, she always comes in to check on me and brings snacks on many occasions.

"Okay, I'm sorry for stalking you and acting all creepy. I'll take my leave now." She proceeds to get on her feet and I hold her back.

"We can go for breakfast tomorrow." I say and the huge smile that drops on her face has my insides melting.

Yinka has one of the prettiest smiles I've ever seen and she sure as hell knows it.

"Really? It's a date." She declares in goofy smiles.

I chuckle and she stares at me.

"You look beautiful when you laugh. You should do that more often. Anyways, I gotta head home. Big day tomorrow."

"Where are you going tomorrow?" I ask.

"Apparently, I have this book tour I'll be gone for. It's crazy but it's fine. Do you want to tag along?" She asks with bright eyes but I reject the offer.

"Okay then. I'll be here for our breakfast date by 7. Be ready." She blows me a kiss before strutting her way out of my apartment.
