Chapter 2

Horus in a flash back remembers the day he found out about his daughter. Horus looked around the party making sure it set up the way his mother had asked him. He goes to look for the missing singer that is not on stage with the rest of the musicians. He starts looking for a girl about 19 years old. He goes into the hallway noticing someone heading towards where his parents are at. With his mom Isis singing an ancient song. Luring the young girl to the siren call. Remember a song of an older lady singing it to her dreams and old memories. Isis smiles and notices the young girl. "Why hello young one." Tovi in a frightened panic goes back to where she was. She hits Horus' chest not seeing her behind him. Horus looked down to see a female version of him with Hathor shape. Isis notices the resemblance of her son and the young girl. "Young one best go back to tell everyone that we are on the way. The servants come and get the royal family finished getting ready. Tovi, using the confusion, slips back out and heads to where the musicians are and lets musicians get the royal entrance music starting. As the royal family is getting their introductions going on with Horus staring at the female singer trying to place where he saw her. Hathor looks at the place Horus is looking at. She notices the past coming back to bite her and Isis in the behind. Isis wanders over to Hathor as the other Gods and Goddess go and wish Orsis a happy birthday. "I thought she was hidden in the mortal realm until she was of age or when the danger was gone." Hathor shakes her head. "I had her hidden in a family but apparently the party planner picked the mortal group for music."

The musicians start playing an old ancient rhythm. Tovi starts to sing the same ancient song Isis was singing earlier. A song only the royal family and closest gods and goddess know. Making everyone look at her in astonishment and amazement. She continues through a couple songs with everyone being under a spell with the goddess of music being used as a siren-like voice. She announces she is taking a break to help wet her voice and to keep it soothing. She walks over to the refreshment table to get a drink. Horus walks over to her and drags her to an empty hallway. Hathor and Isis notice Horus taking the young girl into the hallways. They start heading after them. Horus pins her to a column, "Start talking because that first song was an old family song. Only a few selected people will know it, not some mortal." Looking down at Tovi with a sneer of a look. Isis and Hathor pull Horus back. Hathor stands in front of Tovi being a protective mother. "Horus she of royal blood of the egyptian line." Isis nods her head for Hathor to continue. " Horus, she is your daughter. We had her hidden in the mortal world because of your uncle Set."

Horus looks at the girl behind the love of his life. He moves Hathor out of the way and gives Tovi a hug. He starts tearing up and kisses the top of Tovi's dark red haired head. "I have a little girl. But did you guys not tell me?" Tovi gives them all a confused look. "I'm not a goddess or anything. I don't remember anything though for the first 8 years of my life it was all a blank though." Isis hugs her granddaughter and her son. "We will talk more after the party but let's go back before anyone gets more suspicious." Isis leads them back to the party. They all separate once they get back to the party. Isis whispers to Orsis that they have a surprise for him after everyone leaves. Horus and Hathor watch their daughter from afar while she finishes doing what she was hired to do. The party ended quickly and the musicians started packing their equipment up for everyone to go back to the mortal realm.

Horus comes up to Tovi and the group. "I will need to steal Miss Tovi from you all. Can someone also inform her family She staying the night up here." The head musician nods and gives Tovi a worried look. She waved him off letting him know she is alright. Horus leads them to the big family room near the royal wing. Horus places Tovi behind him. They walk into the room. Isis looks at Horus and Tovi, "Orsis we found a gift for you that you always been hoping for." Orsis gives a look of confusion before Horus moves out of Tovi's view of her grandfather. He instantly recognized who Tovi was. "I have a granddaughter. What a wonderful birthday gift." He walks over to Tovi. "Is it okay if I hug you?" Tovi nods and hugs her grandfather after bowing to him. He tells her to not bow to him in the private rooms. Tovi hugs Orsis tightly, "happy birthday grandfather." Orsis starts tearing up. Horus and Isis start tearing up. Horus looks at his mom. "Why is she dressed and to look like a mortal mom." Isis shakes her head, "Because of your uncle. We are afraid of your uncle trying to take Hathor and her. Because of the threat he placed on any of the family should not have any new babies born since he can't have a child. But now that she is old enough she should be safe enough to come back home to her family."

Tovi looks over at them. "But I have a family at home that is raising me. What about them?" Isis looks at her and smiles. "They will be compensated and be blessed by us for taking care of you. But you're safer here now with the family." Tovi nods understanding and steps back from her grandfather. "Can I go say goodbye tonight and grab a few things from home?" Horus nods, "We will send someone with you to help you grab a few things." Tovi shakes her head, "My family wasn't wealthy or anything, no need for extra people. I can go by myself and be back in a few hours." Horus looks at her with a smile and nods. Horus takes her to the mortal realm with his eagle body and waits for her to come back with a bracelet that looks like a smaller version of Hathors bracelet and a bag of miscellaneous stuff. She leaves What she earned from the party she made to her family to help pay for whatever her family needed. Horus looks at what few items she has. He places the bracelet on her wrist where Hathor has hers. The memory ends with Horus shaking his head. "She is just like I was when I was younger isn't she Mom. Isis chuckles and nods, "Just like you but go easy on her. She might have a good reason why." Knowing why Tovi skipped today's agenda.

Tovi sits in her room in her marble themed room that her mother gifted her for abandoning her to the mortal realm. Tovi looks down waiting for her father to come down the hallway to give her punishment since she was down in the mortal realm seeing her adoptive brother Beck. Horus footsteps echoing down the hallway. Tovi freezes up and hides underneath her floating bed frame from her father. Horus knocks on the door and pops his head in. "You decent sweetie?" Tovi hides near the headboard. "Yes daddy."

Horus walks into her room and starts looking around for her. "Tovi, where are you? You are already in trouble as it is. Please don't make it worse than it needs to be." Checks her changing room and the bathroom to see if she was in there. He finally goes to where the head board is and pulls her out from underneath the bed. "Found you my little Sweet." Tovi gives him a pouting look. "You used your powers to detect where I was daddy." Horus chuckles and nods. "You weren't answering me and that's what your mom did to hide from the King and Queen." Tovi squirms out of his hold and goes to sit on one of the chairs she has on the spread around the room. Horus raises an eyebrow at his daughter, "You are more like your mother as you get older. But tell me why did you miss your lesson on royal etiquette and your defense lesson today?"

Tovi avoids looking at him. "You might not like that answer, daddy. I was missing something and was trying to go looking for it in the mortal realm."
