My brand new boots hit the gravel road with a crunch. She was back at Pinesview for another year. Her dad stayed in the car, knowing he'd attract a crowd. Him being Mr.Brooks, a great rider. She quickly wrapped her arms around him. He whispered in her ear.
"Your mother would be proud"
" I know, I love you dad" I whispered back, closed the door, and took out my duffle bag with extra clothes, laptop and other stuff which I know nothing about. I opened the large horse trailer we had, to see my beautiful bay mare, Kimberly. My gelding, Raven, a tall 17.4 hand horse stayed at Pinesview for the summer under the watchful eye of the staff. She shook her long neck and nuzzled me. I gave my bag to a helper.
" Room 436" I told him, he nodded and carried my bag to a trolley. I was in Oakhall, i was in a dorm with a girl named Sash White . My mother, a wonderful rider just like my father, died from cancer when I was five. Devastated we were, and still to this day. My father enrolled me into Pinesview at the age of six, putting me through riding upon riding lesson, shows and clinics. Now I'm 13 I have been at Pinesview for now, or going go be seven years. I clipped my tye dyed lead rope to her purple halter, leading her slowly out of the trailer. As I lead her out, someone caught my eye, a girl with blonde hair, leading a mare out of her trailer. I turned my attention back to Kimberly leading her into the stables, into her new stall. I sighed and went over to Raven, he was busy munching on his hay, he flicked his ear as he saw me and came over sticking his head out of his stall. I stroked his muzzled and gave him a kiss.
" I'll come back later" I whispered, walking towards OakHall. I opened the dorm, to find Sasha sitting on her bed reading the latest teen magazine. My duffle bag was on my bed. She looked up and beamed.
" Hey Ash!" She smiled and hugged me.
" What have you been up to?" I asked sitting down putting my duffle bag on the carpet.
" Trying to get Onyx to jump five feet" she said rolling her eyes.
" Ouch, hows it been going?" I asked.
" Not well, I have fallen off one too many times, I was thinking you could try" she offered. I hesitated before saying yes.
" When do you want to go?" I asked.
" Now?" She laughed.
" Fineeee, I need you to ride Kimberly" I said. Sasha during the summer had visited, riding different horses.
" Okie" she giggled. We changed into some riding clothes, I slipped on a pair of Taylor sportsman breeches and a hunter green polo. I tied up my hair, and slipped on my expensive boots. We made our way to the stables, talking about how her gelding was refusing, or attempting to jump. We walked into the stables, and smiled. We tacked up our horses then handed them to each other. I led Onyx to the indoor ring, setting up a couple five foot jumps. He is a tall horse, and should easily make it over. I mounted into the saddle, not having to adjust my stirrups. A new year at Pinesview, I can do it.
