It had been roughly a year since Shanks and his men left Foosha village. They were making their way back to Foosha with the goal sitting besides Shanks in a chest. "Finally. After all this time we get to see Anchor again. We're gonna bring him along with us when we leave right Shanks?" Yasopp asked as all the rest smiled on hopeful. "Definitely. That kid is sure to be plenty strong enough now. Hehe. I feel bad for anyone who tries to mess with him. He was already a little powerhouse when we left." Grinned Shanks as his men cheered on. Benn smirked as they sailed to Dawn Island. "That notebook may not have all the answers to haki in it but im sure hes learned everything it had to teach him by now Captain. Though I bet you'll bring him along no matter what huh?" He asked with a knowing smile. "Hahaha. Damn can't ever get anything past you can I Benn?" Asked the cackling captain. The crew busted out laughing as they all drunk some sake.

An hour passed by and the joy had left the crews face. Looks of sadness and rage were on their faces. They looked at the ruins of the former village and Shanks yelled for his men to search for any signs of life. As they ran through the streets all they could find was destruction. Until they reached the partial remains of Makino's bar. Shanks stopped cold as he felt eyes on his back. The crew turned around to see a disheveled group of bandits and in the middle stood Makino. "Y-You're back.....thank God." She said as she ran to Shanks weeping. The crew saw the bandits and their looks of sorrow and a small light in them. "Makino....What happened here? Where's Luffy?" Asked Shanks after they calmed Makino down.

She sighed and wept as she told them what took place a month after they had set sail. Slavers arriving and capturing hundreds while slaying any form of resistance. Then about how Luffy fought to give Makino a chance to escape. How he took down several slavers and how he was beaten unconscious while she fled. "H-He w-wanted me to b-be h-h-here to t-tell you." She sobbed out as Shanks and his crew were all staring daggers at the ground.

"Son of a bitch!" Yelled a furious Shanks his face twisted in fury. "Who took him Makino?" He asked as his eyes were glowing red.  "Celestial Dragon's personal slavers. I don't know the names as none spoke them. But I saw the emblem on their ship. Please Shanks please save Luffy!?" She begged and each member of the Red-Haired Pirates looked to Shanks and nodded. "We will. I refuse to let Luffy down more than I already have." Said Shanks with power lacing every word. "Why didn't Garp stop them though?" Asked Yasopp making the bandits and Makino furious. "He refused. He despises the Celestial Dragon's but he knows if he tries to save Luffy that the entire island will be destroyed and he will be thrown into Impel Down. When I went to Dadan's hut to get him he did nothing. He wept then left. We haven't seen hide nor hair of him since." Spat out Makino with cold fury. Shanks grew even more furious than before. "Back to the ship. We are going after any and all slavers we can find. We must get Anchor back. No matter the cost." Ordered Shanks before he looked to Makino. "Are you all coming with us or staying here?" He asked. The bandits considered it for a moment before shaking their heads. "We want to but the reason we're all mountain bandits is we get incredibly seasick. We would only slow you all down. That and we're far too weak to help you beat slavers." Said Dadan with a sigh. Makino looked to Shanks. "I will accompany you. I let Luffy sacrifice himself to buy me time to escape. I can't forgive myself knowing Luffy's been enslaved due to my weakness." Shanks smiled softly before motioning for her to follow him to the ship.

Meanwhile Luffy was currently being tortured for a slight infraction. One that the girl he's the slave for did and blamed on him. He still hasn't spoken or shown any emotion since the day he arrived. Which infuriates the celestial dragons as they enjoy breaking people. Having an already broken slave was no fun for them. This time however they decided to go a step further with their tortures. He was lashed to a table and they told the torturer to slowly, very slowly amputate his left leg at the hip. Expecting that to get a reaction from the boy. But through the entire ordeal he didn't react once. Four hours of his leg being slowly amputated and he didn't make a sound or look in pain. That unnerved them. It was supposed to be enjoyment for them but his lack of care shook them deeply.
