A year has passed since last we met. Luffy and Yamato have grown exponentially stronger thanks to their combined training. Tama and Tenguyama as well have grown stronger. But they will not compete in the war for Wano. Tama begs for the chance, yet Luffy and Yamato forbid it. "We're sorry, Tama, but you are not yet powerful enough to help us without dying. Only myself and Yamato stand any chance at victory in this war. We do, however, have a plan for you. Tenguyama knows it, and once we head to Onigashima, you two will head for your destiny. We do wish you could join us, but this is not your time. Training you was a pleasure beyond words, Tama. As was getting you on the right path. You will be the fire that leads a certain dragonboy back home. Until then, Tama, you, and the people of Wano must allow us to be your guardians. We will stop Kaido. We will no longer allow the beast pirates to terrorize you. It's for you and Tenguyama to hold off the last opponent we must face. We aren't looking down on you. it's the opposite. We are trusting you with one of the most difficult parts of our plan." Luffy says with a smile as Tama cries.

She doesn't want them to leave. She knows they're strong, but she is afraid they will not be enough. "B-But wh-what if y-y-you l-lose? Wh-What then Lu?!?" She stuttered out as she sobbed. Yamato knelt down to little Tama. "Do we look like we're going to die, Tama? No. We are strong enough now to take down Kaido and his entire pirate force. You two protect Wano's citizens. We will handle this war so no one else risks death. If we lose, we will survive. But if you were to fight and die, Tama, it'd break us. You've grown on us this past year. We couldn't live with ourselves if we caused your young life to end. Please, Tama, for us, will you please do as Luffy asked?" She said gently. But if people looked close, they would see tears forming in hers and Luffy's eyes. For an entire year, they lived together, ate together, trained, and learned together. They see her as their niece and would never allow her to rush into death so early in her life. "Please, O-Tama. We love you too much to let you face this threat. We are not going to lose. We will fight and take down Kaido of The Hundred Beasts and free Wano. Then, we will take out the Shogun and seek out the rightful heir. We're old enough and strong enough to do this. You are not. We know you're strong, Tama. Yet our foes are many more times stronger than you. So please, for us, will you do as we request?" Luffy said with a wavering lip. Tama cried as she listened to their words. "F-Fine. B-But you b-better not d-die!" She said with a steely gaze. The duo smirked as they each held out a fist to her for a fist bump. "We won't die. That's a promise, Tama." They said together as the little girl bumped each of their fists.

Tenguyana bowed to the duo who knew his true past and left with Tama on her dog Komachiyo. "You better keep that promise, you two. She's lost everything else, but you two and Ace. We need you two to stay alive no matter what!" They heard him shout as they rushed off towards the village. Luffy smiled and waved until they were out of sight. "Are you ready for this, Yamato?" He asked before looking towards her. Yamato smiled bright. "More than anything. Between us, we are both able to take Kaido to the limit. We can't lose. Especially not with all your powers for mastering those blades of yours. We will win no matter what happens, Luffy." She said with a voice full of determination and trust. Luffy smiled as they looked towards Onigashima. "Then time we take down an Emperor. For Wano, For Tama, For Ace, For Oden, and most of all, Yamato. For you!" He said, filling his voice with power. Yamato smiled as she looked to the boy who was once smaller than his own swords. He now stood 6'4 and weighed 220 pounds of solid muscle. The boy who saved her. The knight who protected her. The hero of Wano. "You know Luffy. If all goes as planned, we may just be able to do as you wished after this. Are you sure attacking now before he leaves for his next campaign is the right move?" She asks, knowing the answer but wanting to hear the words. "Damn right, it is. I made a promise to you the day we met Yamato. I will defeat your pops. I will save Wano. I will no longer wait and build strength. Kaido must pay for his many sins." Luffy growled out with fury at saying the bastards name. Yamato smirked, knowing what Luffy was capable of. "Very well, but you better not lose Luffy, or I'll introduce you to my Takeru in a way you don't want." Luffy froze before looking at her in fear. "P-Please no!" He shrieked, making Yamato cackle as they raced off towards Onigashima.
