Dasyu's POV

"Yuvraj, Maharaj has been worried about you.
Sensing your behaviour for the past few days he is always thinking about you and is eager to meet you."

"Pitaji humse milne ko tatpar hain aur hum usse. Samajh nahi aata uss din usne aisa kya kar daala jo humare Nayan kewal usse dekhne ko tarasne lagein hain"

"Father is eager to me and I am eager to meet her. I can't understand what she did that day, that my eyes are dying to witness her."

My words came out rhythmically when I had to count another day without her.

My words came out rhythmically when I had to count another day without her.

"Who? Whom do you want to meet Yuvraj?"

"No one. I just need some time for myself to be prepared for the political meetings after such a war."

I quickly covered it up because if they ever come to know about her they'll not let her live.

"Ji Yuvraj, Maharaj ko ye sandesh jald hi mil jayega. "

"Sure Yuvraj, this message will soon reach Maharaj."

"Jii, dhanywad"

"Sure, thankyou"

The servitor left my room and now I was alone in here but my thoughts were always accompanied by her.

I dived into revising the events of that night.

How her words pierced right into my heart. Her raged eyes gave me death stares. Her small face appeared as if I would love to hold her red cheeks for eternity.

*Flashback*

"I think I should rather give my handsome father this handsome head."

"Miss, you don't need to overreact, you are already under fire, now you can't escape."
I assured her that she would not make it alive tonight.

"Aap shayad galat samajh rahe hain Yuvraj dasyu. Yadi aapko iss baat ka aabhas hota ki hum kon hain aur hum kya kar sakte hain toh aapka shaurya bhi aapko anumati nahi deta humare samaksh aise shabd bolne ke liye.Aap acchi tarah se jante honge ki humari talwar ke nishane pe kisi ki bhi gardan aajaye, vah vyakti jivit nahi bach pata hai."

"You seem to be underestimating me , Had you known who I am and what I can do , you wouldn't be brave enough to get a word out of your mouth. . You know it very well that whosoever my sword aims to, that person never remains alive."

"Aap swayam ko shoorveer yodha samajhti hain? Aap janti nahi hain aapse bhi kahi unche darje ke talwarbaaz humare charno pe jee rahe hain"

"Do you think of yourself as a brave warrior? You don't know that there are many swordsmen who are higher ranked than you, who are living on my feet."

"Aap humari tulna talwarbaazon se kar rahe hain? Aapke shabdon ne humari shanka dur kar di, hume vishwas hogaya hai ki aap nahi jante ki hum kon hain."

"You are comparing me to swordsmen? You just confirmed my assumption , I am sure you really don't know who I am."

I wondered why a village girl would take pride in her identity.

"Kon hain aap?"

"Who are you?"

"Vah Samrajya jo sadev apne se pehle apne logon ko rakhta hai, vah Samrajya jahan humesha se badon aur sabhi logon ko swayam se upar rakhne ki pratha hai chali aa rahi hai, hum uss Abhaya ki Rajkumari hain."

"The Kingdom that always puts it's people on before anything, the kingdom that has the virtue of respecting others and keeping the elders above everybody else , I am the very Princess of Abhaya."

Woahh! I never thought I would ever encounter her this way. I had heard about her earlier from a few people. About her beauty, intelligence, war skills but most about her arrogance, I've always heard of her as someone who always thought of herself first, but right now , when I look at those deep brown orbs , I feel that they hide pain. They hide numerous emotions and feelings which I can't seem to make out . She is mysterious .

"I would release you if you find me Sodashidhi."

"Sure, it's a deal."

I didn't want to take this fight further.I would be a complete fool if I decided to fight for my pride in front of people like her.

"Anand and Ashraj, you two should go searching for that herb."

I ordered the two sipahi to do the work. I didn't want her to vanish from my sight.
I already had a high time with war and she could do anything just to create a larger dispute.

"Kya hum ye jaan sakte hain ki itni gyi raat mein itne bade rajya ki phool si rajkumari iss khoonkhar van mein kya kar rahi hain?"

"May I know what a Princess is doing in this dangerous forest in midnight?"

"Humare pitaji ka swasthya thik nahi hai. Unke praan bachane hetu jis aushadhi ki avshykta hai vo hume yehi milegi."

"My father's health isn't good. The medicinal herb we need to save his life can only be found here."

"Accha. Matlab abhi toh Abhaya ka Sinhasan khali hoga. Ji sahi?"

"Ohh. So the throne of Abhaya is vacous now. Right?"

"Jii. Bilkul sahi. Par hum aapko aagah kar rahe hain, yeh bilkul nahi sochiyega ki Sinhasan khali hai arthat aap kabhi Abhaya ko jeet sakte hain. Humare liye humare praan se pehle humara rajya aata hai."

" Yes. Correct. I warn you , do not even think of assuming that you can ever get a hold of Abhaya, even if the throne of the kingdom awaits it's king. For me, Abhaya comes first, my life comes later."

"So-"

"Yuvraj, we found three parts of Sodashidhi. Now they are nowhere to be found."

I was interrupted by Anand. I wanted to make this conversation longer. I wanted to hear more of her words. Though she seemed like an enemy. But I wanted to join her further. I came up with a plan.

"Okay. Give those to her."

Anand handed the herbs to her. I could clearly see her disappointment growing on her face.
Why would she feel so? The herbs were to save her father. But why was she irritated to find those herbs? She seemed enigmatic.

"Aapka dhanyawaad Yuvraj Dasyu. Humara rajya mein yeh kahawat hai, kabhi bhi kisi ka bhi karz apne sheesh rehne nahi dena chahiye na hi kisi ke udhar ko apne hathon theherne dena chahiye. Isi wajah se, hum jald hi aapke iss karz ko chukana pasand karenge."

"Thankyou Yuvraj Dasyu for your help. There's a saying in our kingdom, never keep anyone's favour alive in your head and never let someone be grateful to you for your favour for a long time. Following that, I will look forward to return your favour. Now I'll head back to Abhaya."

"I would like to join you on your way."

More disappointment on her face. Her eyes disagreed with every word I said. I could see the visible irritation. I could easily sense the tension my words created in the atmosphere.

I chuckled to her expression.

After all,

A true Princess,

Pride is her character.

Swarna's POV

Who the hell does he think he is , why does he think that he should accompany me?
Why does he want to come with me? I am sure I'll kill him midway.
