Dead Man's Land: Season 1

Season 1 Episode 1: Pilot

A young male teenager wakes up from his sleep early in the morning, waking up in the morning would be fine for the young man if it wasn't the fact it was on a Monday, the young man whose name is Cornelius Nicholas Chase, a sixteen year old high school student, whose grades are mostly above average even during the early two months of 2020.

Cornelius, a member of the archery team is packing his school related stuff in his backpack, Cornelius had taken a shower and already ate his breakfast, he was looking forward to his archery training today since it was scheduled to start Monday again after archery practice had been stopped for a while after his team coach had gotten infected with a disease that the coach had apparently caught during vacation outside of the country.

The young athlete, now inside of his pickup truck is driving out of the driveway, after locking his home and garage, he is driving along the highway and after a while, he starts to make way to where his high school is at, the school is becoming more visible as he is almost close to his school, he makes way towards to the school parking lot and parks in an available empty parking spot, he sees a student that is leaning against another vehicle, Cornelius grins as he sees this knowing who this was, his high school best friend, Bartholomew Gareth Vincent, who he fondly nicknamed "Bart Garvin because of his friend's very long annoying in a fond way name.

Cornelius starts to get out of his truck with his backpack, after he locks his truck and he starts to walk towards his best friend who is also making way towards Cornelius, for strangers, it would be strange to see two tall white teens with black braided mullet hair that only black people would have, both of the teens walking to each other like black gang members wearing black redneck biker gang type of clothes, as the two of them starts to get near each other.

"What's up Bart Garvin, cuh." ,Cornelius hollers at Bartholomew while giving him a bro hug which Bartholomew reciprocated back.

Bartholomew hollers back while during the bro hug, he squeezes Cornelius's denim jeans covered buttcheeks, "I'm peachy, fool."

The young archer teen notices the squeeze laughing at his friend as they are known to do gay jokes to each other to see who will get uncomfortable first, Cornelius breaks off the bro hug and puts one of his arms around Bartholomew's shoulders as they make their way towards the school's entrance.

They are both currently inside a classroom, their first subject being science which wasn't as boring as math, which the both of them abhorred so much since they couldn't grasp how they would ever use these so called math lessons in life, Cornelius excels in physics since physics plays a part in how he trains and play in archery, a sport that used physics lesson to help with archery training and the subject is also related and connected to the science subject, while Bartholomew on the other hand is more inclined with literary subjects, he also has a knack for anything mechanical or technical like radios, machines and cars, he could even probably build a bomb with the right knowledge, ingredients and materials, he knows how to craft things from metal as he had undergone apprenticeship under a blacksmith.

After they had finished the rest of their subjects in the morning and had lunch during noon, which they finished their remaining afternoon subjects, before they could be dismissed from class, suddenly the classroom TV turned on and what it showed shocked the whole classroom including the two best friends.
