004, my final girl
CHAD HANDED a shot to Adelaide, who stood beside him. After Adelaide had informed the rest of the group of Wes' death, Amber had made the decision to throw a party in honour of the boy.
Of course, at first everyone thought it was a bad idea, but Adelaide knew it was what he would have wanted.
"Hey!" Chad shouted, gaining everyone's attention. "To Wes!" Everyone raised their shots, copying the boys words, before downing them.
"Beautiful son of a bitch." Chad mumbled. "Shots, really? This is supposed to be a memorial." Amber snatched the glasses out of the duos hands, causing Adelaide to frown.
"Well, this is how we mourn and distract ourselves from the looming spectre of death." Chad threw his arm over Adelaide's shoulder.
"Hey, we're low on beer." Mindy chimes in. "Alright, there's more in the basement. I'll go get some." Adelaide and Chad walked away, not putting another thought into Amber's words.
But Mindy did as she eyed the black haired girl suspiciously, before following after her.

Adelaide and Chad sat on the couch, observing the party around them.
Adelaide had her legs in Chad's lap, whilst his hand rested on her thigh.
Usually, Chad would be more of a party animal. But he couldn't leave Adelaide alone, not with a killer on the loose and especially not after the break down she had today.
Just a few minutes after she had sat back down in the police station, she told the boy what had happened in the bathroom.
She was shocked that he didn't once look at her with fear or disgust, but he instead helped her wrap her hand in a bandage and reassured the brunette that she was nothing like her uncle.
"I'm gonna go get some air." Adelaide spoke, not giving him any time to respond as she left.
As Adelaide finally found a quiet spot, she let out a shaky sigh, resting her head in her hands.
Her thoughts trailed over every single mirror interaction she had ever shared with Mickey, and she silently wondered if maybe he was right.
Maybe she was close to snapping and turning out just like him.
At the sound of rustling coming from close by, Adelaide snapped out of her thoughts as her head shot up. "Chad?"
Another rustling sound came from her right, making her snap her head in that direction. "Hello? Mindy? Amber?"
Adelaide looked around, noticing she was all by herself.
Adelaide fumbled to pull her phone out, clicking on Chad's number. As she placed it to her ear, it rang twice, before someone answered.
"Chad—" Before she could even get out a full sentence, a scarily familiar voice entered her ears.
"Hello, Adelaide. Chad can't come to the phone right now." Adelaide pounced up, frantically looking around. "What the hell have you done with him?" Adelaide seethed, taking the flip knife out of her pocket as she began to search for him.
"Mr Prince charming came looking for his damsal in distress, but I gutted him before he could get to you. He isn't dead, yet. You have a chance to save him." Ghostface taunted.
"How?"
"Pop quiz. You get them all right, Chad lives." A son raked through Adelaide's body, but she agreed nonetheless.
"How many people did your uncle kill?" Ghostface questioned. "7."
"Who was his accomplice?"
"Fuck, uh, Nancy Loomis!"
"What was his motive?"
"Fame. He wanted fame."
"How long is it going to be until you snap and follow in his footsteps?"
"What?" Adelaide breathed out. "That's the wrong answer!" The ghostface screamed through the receiver.
Fear engulfed Adelaide, "What, no! That wasn't my answer!"
"Too bad, i've already killed him and i'm coming for you next." Adelaide's mouth shot open as she went to speak, but her words were replaced with a loud gasp as she felt something stab into her back, causing her to drop the knife in her hand.
"See, Adelaide, this was just meant to be a requel with the originals, but where's the fucking fun if we didn't kill off another legacy character." Ghostface whispered into her ear.
"Is that your fucking motive, huh?" Adelaide spat as blood began filling her mouth.
"Maybe his, but not mine. See baby, you never gave me the time of day. One chance, that's all I ever wanted. But you was to busy falling in love with Chad to even acknowledge me."
The ghostface yanked the knife out of her back as she screamed in pain.
She knew she didn't want to die, so she ran, clutching her stomach.
"Where you goin', A?" Another sob racked through the brunettes body at the use of the familiar nickname.
It was Amber.
Amber pounced for the girl, making her topple to the floor. The repeadtly stabbed the girl as she shouted, "You could have fucking avoided this, Adelaide. All I ever wanted was one fucking chance."
Now Adelaide though of every single her and Amber ever shared as she came to realise the signs were so painfully obvious, but yet, she was so oblivious.
"You was meant to be my final girl."
Those were the last words Adelaide heard as her eyes fluttered shut and she allowed the darkness to take over.
