It's October again

So disclaimer sometimes i will just use the word ''Mave'' or "Alex" or "me" to different the people speaking the dialogue.

Alex P.O.V:
I feel the breeze of Autumn up my spine. The leaves are getting brown-ish again.
"I think it's October." I murmur to Mave. Athena is sleeping, or, at least I think. It's been a year since we got her. I personally don't think she made the apocalypse easier. I love her so much tho. She's like, my second favorite person in the world.

Mave is the first one obviously. We still live in our apartment, we call it "the house" haha.

"Yes, it probably is, or November. I don't know." she responds after thinking for a while.

"You know, we should start counting the days." "Since your phone died in may I don't really feel ordinated" I say in a kinda-sad tone.
"Well, it's okay! Hmm, Okay, lets say it's uhm, October? 19th!" She said, probably just trying to make me happy. Or not? I don't know.

I sudently see a book in the corner, I've, never seen it before.

"The secret history" I say. "I've heard of it before".
"It was one of my mom's books from the 90's." Mave responded."I'll go get it for you, love!"
"Thanks!!" I say, my voice is getting warmer, louder.

I turn to page one. ,,Summary, Prolouge,, I start reading it while I do I don't realize the slowly, and slowly, I'm falling asleep. It feels like a few minutes but I'm being awakend by Mave, I can feel her worry, just by saying her say my name. "ALEX! Wake up!" She continues saying. "Hmm? what is it?" (me).
"Its Athena! She's missing" (Mave).

I felt my heart beating faster while I heard those words.
"She's.. Missing?" (me)
I quickly get up and ask quietly, in a weird manner:
"H-how? What happend?" (me)
"I.. Just, fell asleep with you, I-I.." (Mave)
"No, it's okay, it really is not your fault. Okay, baby?" (me)

"Okay, well.. Let's go find her, lets go find our daughter." Mave says leaving me speechless. Our daughter? I never thought of her that way, daughter, huh.

I give Mave a long weird stare. Confused I look at her again.
"Uhm, well let's go find.. Her."
She is not my daughter. I love her so much, but she's not my daughter.

I look desperately at Mave, hoping she'll know. She doesn't get it, does she? I-I'm not ready for a daughter. Athena, is like, my sister? I guess.

"Okay, stay here I'll go thru the block if I find her I'll come back, and if not I'll still do." I say while giving her one of the walkie-talkie's we own, and I also take one.
"Here, she comes back, "call" me." (Me)
"Okay" (Mave)

I go up the stairs, Mave stays back. I look through all the apartaments. I fist go to apartament 47, the last one. She isn't there. Then 46, 45, 44, etc.

I reach ap. 11 and I hear some whispers, they kinda sound like Athena's voice, but, a little weird. "Athena?" I ask, while getting a weird feeling in my gut. "Athena?" I ask again, this time hearing it's voice louder, and louder.

"No, no no no no! Please?" I ask trembling. Is she a zombie? I asked myself that moment. But she was one of those fucking creatures. I pull my gun' out of my pocket. Tears start rolling down my face as it gets up. "no, no, no, no, no"
At this point I realize that, there was no point, she looked like she was a zombie for a few hours at that point.

I.. I shoot her, at that point I break doew crying, I was just ballwing my eyes out. I press the "call" button on my walkie talkie. "M-m-ave?" I ask shaking so much.. "What?." Mave asks, feeling that somethings wrong.

Erm like I started this story almost two years ago the first chapters are SO bad I'm sorry
