CHAPTER 3 - Maybe

I had to admit Sidney was kinda thinking crazy, I mean he couldn't be back.. there was no possible way!

We killed those bastards 11 years ago, Quinn and Bailey died at our hands while Ethan was crushed by a TV, just like Stu Macher.

Sam sighed, "Look we're not totally sure about this, I say we wait for a bit.. maybe it was just someone out to get Mark" I nodded.

Sidney looked upset but agreed, after a few minutes Kirby walked in with a clipboard, "Nice to see you two again" She turned to us and I smiled, "Sidney here are some reports of the scene, I thought you may want to look at them" Kirby asked.

She gave the files to Sidney and turned to me, "Are you sure he's back?" I asked Kirby and she shrugged.

"I'm not completely sure.. there's always someone to take the mask and become him, he's never really gone.. he's just replaced," Kirby said.

I ran through my hair and tried to think, "Is Mindy here?" I asked and Kirby nodded.

"She'll be here soon, she's about an hour away" I nodded, Kirby definitely had a great relationship with Mark and it really upset me to see her sad.

I held onto her shoulder and as I walked away I went up to Sam, she was listening to Sidney share her thoughts.

"Hey Mindy will be here soon, any news with Tara and Chad?" I asked and Sam shrugged while holding her phone.

She tried to call her again but no reply, "she hasn't answered so I just left her a voicemail.." Sam groaned.

"She'll pick up soon hopefully" I tried to encourage Sam but she just looked tired, "Look why don't you take a nap here? I'll just be by I promise" Sam being Sam of course said no but I kept pushing it until she agreed.

She sat in the chair and held her head as she closed her eyes and I took another good look at Mark, he looked pretty beaten up.

This killer was definitely trained and now that I think of it, why didn't they kill Mark? I mean I hate to say it but Mark was pretty old, the killer could've obviously killed him just as Amber did to Dewey.

I was stuck in my thoughts, I was confused, stressed, and actually a little frightened. Mark's injuries looked pretty bad and I was actually shocked he lived through this.

Then again Chad did live that incident about 11 years ago and he's still standing.

All of this was giving me a headache and I couldn't take it right now, I remember how it ended last time. After that I never really trusted anybody, well that was before I met Elijah.

I stepped out of the room and dialed his number, when he didn't answer I raised a brow. Elijah always answered his phone..

I tried again but once repeated and he still didn't answer, I just leaned against the wall and sighed. I remember the feeling 11 years ago.. it was like it was just yesterday.
