Hongjoong and Y/N had been dating for a few months now and they decided to have a cozy night in. They both wanted to impress each other with their cooking skills, but the only problem was that neither of them knew how to cook.

There was one time Y/N tried to make use of the kitchen and she couldn't help but remember her past failed attempts at cooking. She chuckled to herself, remembering the time she tried to make pancakes and ended up burning them to a crisp. She had to scrape them off the pan with a spatula and they ended up looking more like charcoal briquettes than breakfast food.

And then there was the time when Hongjoong had attempted to cook fried noodle on his own. How he had proudly presented her with a plate of noodles covered in ketchup, thinking it was the chinese soy sauce that he had seen in movies. She couldn't help but laugh as she thought back on it.

Y/N suggested they make spaghetti, and Hongjoong agreed, thinking it was a simple enough dish. They went to the grocery store and bought all the ingredients they needed, including a fancy Italian pasta sauce.

Back at home, Hongjoong started to boil the spaghetti while Y/N worked on the sauce. As they cooked, they each tried to impress the other with their culinary knowledge.

Hongjoong confidently declared, "I heard that you're supposed to salt the water before boiling the pasta, that way it absorbs the flavor!"

Y/N nodded in agreement, "Yes, and I read that adding olive oil to the pasta water prevents it from sticking together!"

They were both so focused on their cooking that they didn't realize the pot had boiled over and the water was boiling onto the stove, causing a small fire.

"Quick! Get the fire extinguisher!" Y/N yelled, panicking.

But Hongjoong, trying to impress Y/N with his quick thinking, grabbed the nearby pot of water and threw it onto the fire, causing a huge burst of flames.

As the flames grew higher, Y/N quickly realized that the situation was getting out of control. "We need to call the fire department!" she shouted, running towards the phone.

But before she could reach it, a loud explosion erupted from the kitchen, sending both Hongjoong and Y/N flying across the room.

As they landed on the ground, Y/N could feel the heat from the flames on her skin, and she knew that they were in serious trouble. "Hongjoong, we need to get out of here!" she screamed.

Hongjoong, dazed from the explosion, struggled to stand up. "I can't leave yet," he replied, "I have to save my guitar!"

Y/N rolled her eyes, "Your guitar can wait, Hongjoong! We need to get out of here before it's too late!"

But Hongjoong refused to leave without his beloved instrument. As he stumbled towards the flames, Y/N knew that she had to take matters into her own hands. She quickly grabbed a nearby blanket and ran towards Hongjoong, wrapping it around him and pulling him away from the fire.

Together, they stumbled out of the burning house, coughing and gasping for air. As they collapsed on the lawn, they watched as the fire department arrived and put out the flames.

As the smoke cleared, Y/N turned to Hongjoong, "I think it's safe to say that our cooking skills need a little work."

Hongjoong chuckled weakly, "Yeah, I guess we should stick to ordering takeout from now on."

"I can't believe we burned down the kitchen," Y/N said, shaking her head.

"I know, right? We're both terrible at cooking," Hongjoong replied with a nervous laugh.

"I just wanted to impress you with my cooking skills," Y/N said, looking back at her now black part of the house.

"I was trying to do the same thing," Hongjoong said, gesturing towards his charred dish.

They both chuckled, realizing that they had failed miserably.

"Well, I guess we'll have to order takeout for dinner tonight," Hongjoong said.

Y/N nodded in agreement, "I don't think either of us should be allowed in the kitchen again."

Hongjoong chuckled, "Yeah, it's probably for the best. But hey, at least we have a funny story to tell now."

Y/N smiled, "That's true. And maybe we can take cooking lessons together, so we don't burn down the house next time."

Hongjoong's eyes lit up at the idea, "That's a great idea! We can learn to cook together and maybe even impress our friends with our newfound skills."

Y/N grinned, feeling relieved that they could turn their culinary disaster into something positive. "I can't wait to see what we can cook up next," she said, taking Hongjoong's hand in hers.

Hongjoong smiled back, feeling grateful for Y/N's positive attitude, "Me too."

As they discussed their plan to take cooking lessons together, Y/N couldn't help but feel a mix of amusement and sadness. On one hand, the idea of learning to cook with Hongjoong was exciting and she was glad they could turn their kitchen disaster into a positive experience. On the other hand, she couldn't help but feel a bit down about the state of their kitchen.

She began mentally calculating how much it would cost to repair the damages, feeling a bit overwhelmed by the thought of having to spend money on repairs instead of a nice night out. Despite her worries, she tried to focus on the positive and the idea of learning to cook with Hongjoong.

"Okay, so we'll start with the basics and work our way up," Hongjoong said, pulling out his phone to search for cooking classes in their area.

Y/N nodded, feeling a bit more excited about the prospect of learning to cook with her boyfriend. "I can't wait to be able to cook something other than burnt spaghetti," she joked, trying to lighten the mood.

Hongjoong laughed, "Same here. I think we'll definitely impress our friends with our newfound skills."

Y/N couldn't help but smile at Hongjoong's optimism. Despite their culinary disaster, he was still positive and looking towards the future. She squeezed his hand, grateful to have him by her side.

"I'm just glad we can make the best of a bad situation," she said, feeling a bit better about their predicament.

Hongjoong nodded, "Me too. And don't worry about the kitchen, we'll figure it out together."

Y/N felt her worries ease a bit at Hongjoong's reassurance. She knew they could handle anything together, even a burnt kitchen.
