A few days had passed and Jacin still hadn't found the right opportunity to send Winter the dog into the room and ask the all-important question with him. But when he walks past her room door and hears soft music and sees Winter sitting at the table, he gets hopeful and runs quickly to his room. After coming back quietly, he opens the door a little wider. "Psssh!" he whispers to the puppy, "just be quiet until I put you in the room! Just look at her, isn't she beautiful? And the picture she paints will surely be a masterpiece." He shakes his head reluctantly. So many emotions- with him? But it was just winter- right? The princess. No, he corrected himself, the ambassador. But to him she was still his princess. Enough dreaming! Now it's getting serious... Jacin carefully places the puppy on the marble floor. He walks over to Winter on quiet paws and nudges her with his nose, which she takes note of in amazement. "A puppy? Where does he come from? And what's his name?" She felt his neck searching for a name tag. Then she discovers the ring and Jacin, who has quietly knelt in front of her. "Jacin?" she whispers softly, tears in her eyes. "You... you..." Jacin clears his throat. "Winter," he begins haltingly, "you've always been my princess and..." he takes a deep breath. "I wanted to ask you if you want to be forever." He looks at her lovingly, she looks back just as emotionally. But suddenly, suddenly, a dark shadow flits across her face.
