Cordelia Mayfield is a hero originating from the city of Metroburg. She is known as Starlight due to her extraordinary abilities to manipulate lights, and freeze objects. While she is dedicated to using her powers for the greater good, Cordelia also yearns for a sense of family and seeks alternative ways to assist and protect those in need. She informed her parents of her decision to join the police academy.

Although her parents were taken aback and uncertain about whether it was the correct decision, they noticed the resolute expression on her face and ultimately consented to her departure on the condition that they would be allowed to visit. Cordelia decided to relocate to Hiddenville and pursue a career in law enforcement. While staying there, she had the opportunity to meet John Carterson, a brilliant scientist and inventor.

They both fell in love and as they spent time together, Cordelia shared her secret power with John. Initially surprised, he grew to love her even more and made a promise to keep her secret safe. They got married and Cordelia gave birth to their first child, a girl named Emma Cythina Carterson.

Like her mother, Emma possesses an extraordinary ability that allows her to manipulate minds and possess telepathic powers. After some time, she welcomed another addition to their family - a baby girl named Edith 'Edie' Joan Carterson. Just like her mother and sister, Edie possesses a unique ability - the power to control emotions and manipulate dreams.

Despite her deep affection for her two daughters, she insists that they conceal their abilities and never reveal them to anyone, fearing the consequences of exposure. Once they reach a certain age, she would inquire about their goals of becoming heroes, respecting their sense of self, and not enforcing her desires upon them.
