CHAPTER FOUR:
The sun was slowly set in as the sky became covered in a fiery Orange the streets calmed down and the pedestrians went to their hotels homes and apartments the only sound that could be heard is the soft sound of the one or two cars that drive past and the stray dogs barking in the alleys the two teenagers walked quietly down the street Felix looking at the footage on the camera as Oliver looked around at the sky the two were in a comfortable silence Felix had a soft smile on his face as he watched their goofy behavior in the film they only had around 3 minutes of proper footage everything else was too blurry but it caused a lot of laughter.
Felix frowned slightly looking at the footage he forgave the other boy yes but there was still hatred and anger left over he looked over at Oliver thinking about what he should do before closing and turning off his camera put in it back in the bag hungover his shoulder the two soon walked up to an alleyway in between the two apartment buildings they lived in taking one last glance at each other before taking their separate ways to their respected building the blonde stopped for a second and turned as he watched the other open the heavy doors to their building and walk in before he himself pulled those heavy thick doors open they made a slight bang as they shut he walked back up the narrow stairs that were covered in carpet stained in god knows what until he arrived to his apartment number pulling out the rusty keys he held in his pocket and unlocking the door he looked around inside his father was nowhere to be seen he assumed the man was just in his room as he slid his shoes off
He walked into the kitchen and saw cold take out on the kitchen table he smiled slightly before picking up some of the beer cans left around the couch and throwing them in the trash as he grabbed on to the styrofoam tray put in it into the microwave as he walked and placed himself onto the couch turning on the boxed TV that I owned it immediately flicked on to a random sports channel he didn't really mind and just watched it uninterested before the loud beeping of the microwave went off he just sat there and let it beep for a couple minutes before standing up and opening it the smell of the takeout rubbing against his nose with the humid air that came out of the microwave he took the box out grabbing a fork from a small drawer beside the sink before walking to his bedroom he put his camera down on the nightstand flicking off his light and turning his lamp on as he started to slowly eat the half cold meal
He looked outside the window and watched the sun slowly disappear underneath all of the building seeing pigeons jump from rooftop to power line he took a deep breath and leaned back pulling out his phone and opening it going to his message app and seeing a text from Oliver "it was nice to hang out with you buddy!" A smile crept onto his face as looked it down at the small keypad on his flip phone and replied "yeah footage wasn't that good but we'll get better" he closed his phone putting it down on his nightstand as he turned over to stare at the lamp his eyes wandering down to the photo underneath it
A photo of his mother and his father with him he grabbed the end of the photo and flipped it onto its face not wanting to look at it as he missed his mother dearly he yawned exhausted from the day's events as his eyes started to close no longer able to keep them open the last movement he made was reaching over and pull in on the metal string to turn his lamp off as his body overtook him
