It's been a few days since I was released from the hospital and my temperature is the same as before hovering around 160 degrees Fahrenheit and 90 degrees Fahrenheit at night. They don't really know what is happening but there seems to be no symptoms outside of that and my body feels just fine. Well, I wouldn't say no symptoms as one of my eyes turned pure red. No, it's more like it lost its black. The doctors said that it was similar to albinism but it has only affected the one eye. In fact, my hair has gotten darker than before, basically blending into the dark at night. My eye sight doesn't seem to be affected but my sense of smell has. For better or worse, my sense of smell has gotten a lot better, and when I mean better I mean the range of smells and the how far I can smell has increased drastically. They thought it was hypersomnia at first but, I'm obviously not pregnant nor do I have a tumor or any other source, so they think it was genomic. My life changed from going to college to going to my laptop. Which I mean, to keep me and others safe, I have to take school from home now. I'm still in the apartment but Henry has been living with us for a few days to keep track of me. It's either that or he just likes my cooking, or maybe even both.

"If you keep staring into space, you're going to burn it." My foster father's voice woke me up from my stupor and I quickly got the food off of the small bath of oil.

"Thanks, I was just thinking about recent events" I responded with a chuckle as I got the next poori out. Poori is part of Indian cuisine and is, at its basic form, a type of unleavened bread that's deep fried and puffed up from the inside. Usually sided with poultry or vegetable based curry.

"Speaking of which, I didn't know that you got a pet." Both of us looked towards Ouki who was trying to walk with her hind legs while copying a celebrity in a magazine. As if in a comedy skit, we simply stared at her before Henry started snickering.

"I didn't get the chance to" I chuckled as Henry nodded in response. I asked how long he was going to stay which he responded with until his wife called him to leave.

"Speaking of which, how has Jenna been?"

"You know how women are after menopause" He sighed while pointing at the fridge. Knowing why he was pointing there, I simply shook my head as he groaned in response.

"Drinking this early isn't good for you. Or anyone for that matter."

"I'm about to retire so it doesn't matter anyway."

I laughed as I finished making the poori's and layered them up together on a plate. Shortly after, Sumi and Isaac walked out of their room and went to the restroom to brush their teeth. Coming towards the Island before sitting down and grabbing a few of the stacked, flaky poori's.

"So Mr. Henry, how long are you going to be here" Isaac said while stuffing his face with the poori's. The same response as before came from Henry's mouth as he got up grabbing onto the poori's. A buzzing sound came from his pocket as he got out his phone to check the notification sighing shortly after.

"It seems that my wife is calling for me" All 3 laughed in response. Reading the text he smiled before looking at me.

"It's not just for me though."

Next thing I know, I'm in a plane going mach 0.7." It turns out that Jenna wanted me to come over to live there for the next few days, which I couldn't say no to. Jenna managed to have a child at the tender age of 43 which was on the cusp of her menopausal state. Having a child at that age while not unheard of was still extremely rare and extremely dangerous having an absurdly high failure rate in all capabilities. Yet despite all odds, she gave birth with minimal damage to herself and her baby, who is technically my little brother, foster brother but still my brother nonetheless. This was less than a year ago so the baby is still, well a baby and has been driving Henry, Jenna and their first child Phil who decided to help them out. Johnny, the baby's name, was quite a bit more hyperactive than Phil was so they weren't ready for the shenanigans that they would put them through which was exacerbated further by their age. I chuckled at the thought as I fell asleep.
