Ever since the dawn of time, since the first star fell—She was ever beautiful.

The night sky held onto all that belonged to her. Stars were pinned in a wonderful elysian, admiring her beauty from afar.
No cloud could ever keep her hidden, for her light radiated through.
Even the Sun did not shine as beautiful as her soft glow.

Her only flaw was perfection in my eyes, a symbol of our connection, proof of our love. Among her star-speckled face, she had scars in the form of shattered asteroids.
She was beautiful.

Her golden tears dropped down onto the earth, onto my face. Tears of sorrow and grief, pain and longing.
I felt my heart reach for her, to comfort her. But all I could do was stare, watch her tears fall from the night sky.

She was shattered, and so was I. My dear Lua, my dear Callisto, my beloved darling. Many lifetimes ago, we were together, inseparable. We were perfect. We were a star.

But then—that star shattered. Lifetimes ago, I found you for the first time, and I fell in love. You took our beauty, our perfection. And it left me breathless.

You were the princess of the moon, and I was only a commoner. Your smile lit the room, caught my heart. We were together again—whole.
But happiness never lasts long. And once again; you were taken from me, and I was taken from you.

And once again, I found you. You are an everlasting perfection. You swept me off my feet, my knight in moonlit armour.
I was yours and you were mine. But with a whisper, you fell in my arms and lay there, promising to return back to me.

And you did. Life after life, I was patient. My patience brought us joy.
You took my hand, guided my hopes and dreams through the dusk. We danced together in the garden, under lights gifted by the stars.
Until o sol peaked over the valley, bathing us in roseate light.

As we watched the sun rise, you gifted me the most precious memory in all of our lifetime. You took my hand yet again, and tears spilled from my eyes.

That ring became lost to time. But I will never lose the gift she gave me. I recreated that memory on my hand so she would see I never forgot her.

Patience once brought us unthinkable joy. So for as long as she sits in the night sky, crying her golden tears, shattered in perfection.

I will wait.

I will wait for the day that she can once again catch my heart, sweep me of my feet, take my hand, and make me fall in love with her all over again.

I will wait for the day the stars watch as we dance til' morning. When the sun rises, I will wait for you to propose once again.

I will be patient for us to be whole once again. For sorrow never lasts long.
We were a star, and we are ever beautiful.
