After leaving the Gremory Territory and his future fiance's behind Y/n would continue to wonder the world in search of his dragon parents. He would find himself somewhere that looked completely different from the Underworld.
Y/n: Huh? I wonder where I'm at?
Y/n continued to wonder around when he found a massive egg.
Y/n: Wow! That's the biggest egg I've ever seen!
Y/n grabbed it and decided to take it along with him on his travels. When he got to a massive tree he found a hole in it and decided he would be staying there for the time to let the egg hatch an find out what it really is.
Y/n: Hm? Maybe it's a dragon egg. If it is then I'll raise it to be strong and powerful like Igneel and Acnologia.
Y/n caught some fish and cooked them with his fire dragon slayer magic and ate it before hugging the egg and falling asleep.
Time Skip 1 Month Later 3rd Pov
After staying inside of the tree for a month the egg began to crack startling him.
Y/n: Is it already time for it to hatch.
The egg continued to hatch until the baby broke out of the top leaving Y/n both in awe and confused.
Y/n: What the...?
Out popped a cat from the top of the egg with the brightest and happiest smile ever.

After traveling for several years Y/n and Happy had found themselves in a town with severals homes surrounded by woods. Since neither of them had money they stuck to hunting and fishing while watching people while eating.
This would continue for several weeks until a woman approached the two.
Woman: Hello there what's your name?
Y/n: I'm Y/n and this is my cat, Happy.
Happy: Meow.
Makoto: It's nice to meet you both I'm Makoto Dragneel and it's nice to meet you, too.
Y/n: Do you want to eat fish with us?
Makoto: No, thank you I don't want to eat your hard earned food.
