"mom, i seriously don't have to go to this." the young adult whined in the grasp of his moms hand.

"honey, crying in your room all day is not normal. i need you to feel better." joyce said, looking back at her son.

his mother just now realizing his problems, and just now taking him to therapy was probably one of the worst mistakes shes ever made. will was now almost 20 years old, and having his mother march him down the halls of a huge building.. was in fact embarrassing for him.

"you're worrying me, honey. and if i don't get you the help you need, i'm gonna feel like a terrible parent." joyce frowned, "well, you're not a terrible parent." will replied, lazily.

will pulled his wrist away from his mothers hand as she opened the door to the waiting area. he looked around and sat down as his mother walked to the front desk.

will slouched in his chair, arms crossed, as he watched as his mother checked him in. he loved his mother, but she always worried about him to much. it's like she never realizes that he's old enough to take care of himself.

after she was done checking him in, she took a seat next to him. "you're not coming in with me, right?" he asked, furrowing his eyebrows.

"no, of course not. i want you to be open." she grabbed his hand "listen, i know meeting some random person and telling them your problems is scary, but if its what you need to do, then do it." she whispered. he nodded and took out his phone, scrolling through instagram.

after a few minutes a dm came up. it was from max. he smiled and opened it.

FIREHEAD

hey bitchhh where are you?

will rolled his eyes, and started typing.

he replied, dryness in his text, expressing he wasn't very happy.

will jolted up as he heard his name called from a distance.

"william byers?" the man repeated, looking around the room, peeking from the small door. will started getting up before his mom pulled him back down.

"be honest." he nodded at her words and continued going to the door, where a smiling ravenette looked at him in admiration.

"you must be will? william?"
