I stand in my bathroom in front of the mirror as I apply my make up and do up my hair.

I hear my phone ringing from my room and walk over to answer it.

"Hello?" I asked through the phone

"Audrey Im on me way for you now. Are you, almost ready?" My friend Matthew's voice rang through the phone speaker.

"Shit, your already on your way?! Okay hold on im almost ready. See you in a few!" I say as I quickly turn off my phone and set it beside me on the counter.

I'm going out for drinks with Matt at a nice pub. He told me that we would be meeting up with one of his band mates. I clipped a silver necklace around my neck and step back and look at myself in the mirror. I have a short floral dress with puff sleeves on, the fabric is soft and It fits me a little tight but looks great. I lace up my white sneakers and grab my purse.

My phone lights up with a message from Matthew.

Matt
Hey, Audrey I'm here to get you.

Heading down now

I unlock the door of my flat and walk down the stairs and down to the lobby. I walk outside and see Matt standing against the building waiting for me.

"Matt!" I exclaim excitedly as I pull him into a hug.

"Hey Audrey! You alright?" Matt greets me as I pull away from the hug.

"Yeah I'm great! Let's go?" I ask excitedly as we start to walk.

The whole way there me and matt had been talking and laughing.

Matt and I arrived at the bar. The pub was quite nice looking. Rows of alcohol lined the bar shelves, and people sat talking and laughing at different tables. Straight across from the main bar was a small stage with some band playing. They weren't too bad but I wasn't paying too much attention. The place was packed full of people. I hadn't expected it to be any less full as it was already 10pm on a friday.

Matt and I walked fully into the pub and walked up to the bar as he got a message on his phone.

"My mate said he would be here in a while." Matt turned and told me.

Me and Matt had ordered a few drinks from the bar and found a booth in the corner of the bar like we usually sit in.

Me and matt had sat in the booth talking and laughing. We had mostly been talking about the status of his band and the music being played from the small stage.

As me and matt talk, the door of the pub swings open behind me and my eyes fall on a short boy.

He couldn't be taller than 5'7. He had messy brown hair that fit him perfectly and an almost stereotypical British nose above his soft pink lips. He had rosy cheeks and some acne. His almost mousy features were soft and inviting. He turned to my table smiled.

"Matthew!! How are ya doin mate?" The small boy exclaimed excitedly.

The boy walked up to our table and Matt stood up to embrace him. I hadn't noticed my staring until I was snapped out of my thoughts by the mousy looking boy.

"Hello love! I'm Alex." He smiled at me shyly and stuck his hand out for me to shake.

"Uh- hello , uhm alex! It's nice to meet you" I reply taking his hand in mine awkwardly shaking it.

His somewhat calloused hand was a bit larger than mine and had a comforting warmth to them. I found my self staring into his deep brown eyes.

The boy cleared his throat awkwardly "and, you are...?" He asked me.

I stopped my staring as I realized what he had asked me and I let his hand go quickly.
"Oh, uh, yeah! My names Audrey. It's very nice to meet you." I look towards the ground, still feeling his gaze lingering on me.

"So! Didn you guys want to get some drinks? They're on me." Alex smiles and turns towards Matt.

"Oh yeah! Thanks mate." Matt replies as the two start walking to the bar. I trail behind them.

We order our drinks and head back to the booth. We sit and talk for a while until Matt gets up and excuses himself to the restroom.

First chapter of a new book! I swear I'm probably gonna be more consistent posting on this one then my other one. I'm really inspired for this book because it's based off of probably my favourite song! Hope you guys enjoy this <33
