Before the lights come on

"So you're one of Matt's band mates?" I had asked Alex while sipping my drink. "Yeah I am! I play guitar and sing." Alex replied happily. "What's the band called?" Alex looked at me hesitantly.
"Uh, Arctic monkeys..." alex spoke shyly, I smiled and his pronunciation of it and looked at him to see if he was serious and he was very serious. I sorta giggled a bit at his expression. "Arctic Monkeys? Pretty cool name." I say as I trying not to laugh.

"Stop laughing! It wasn't me who came up with it! It was my mate Jamie!" He exclaimed and gave a light punch to my arm as we laugh.

After a bit of talking, it was obvious that there was some sort of chemistry happening between us.

A few hours later and a lot of drinks, me and alex had gotten a bit sloshed.

Me and Alex were sitting and laughing at the bar the whole night, not even wondering where matt had wandered off to. As the night went on and the drinks kept coming whatever what had been brewing between me and Alex had gotten hard to ignore.

"You know, my friend fancies you." Alex starts his cheesy pick up line, staring at me with heavy eyes. "Oh? And who's this friend?" I question him genuinely curious.

"Me..." he mumbles shyly

I stare at alex Not fully realizing what had been said. A cheesy pick up line? what a way to begin it all. Alex leaned in to kiss me, lips fitting together perfectly answering my question id been wondering all night... how his lips would feel. His lips were soft, and so was the kiss. We pulled away and looked at each other. Alex almost immediately pulled me back into a kiss. This kiss was more desperate than before.

We broke th3 kiss to catch our breath. I stared into Alex's eyes, they were dark and heavy with lust.

"Let's leave before the lights come on..?" Alex muttered just loud enough for me to hear.
I nod at him still trying to catch my breath.

"Let's.."

Alex stands up and grabs my hand, he pulls me off of the chair laughing as we walk to his car.

Alex opens the door for me and I sit down inside, as soon as he sits in the driver side he pulls me in and we start kissing again. This time with a hunger, it seemed desperate. I grabbed the collar of his shirt lightly to get his body closer to me. I pull away from the kiss.

"Let's go to yours..."  I whisper breathless and he nodded and started driving to his apartment.
