Baizhu continued to stay by your side for the whole night as he helped to bring your fever down, despite Gui telling him to get some rest he didn't as you were his highest priority, he didn't want to leave your side for a moment as your fever was so close to breaking but soon Baizhu found himself asleep at your bedside. It soon became morning without him knowing It as Changsheng had checked on you to see that your fever had indeed broken with you now being better
she slithered up onto Baizhu's shoulder and tried to wake him up, "Baizhu...Baizhu!"
she then bumped him with her head as she continued to try waking him up, and soon he did open his eye's as Changsheng motioned over to you, and Baizhu Instantly checked your forehead to see that you weren't burning up anymore so he let out a sigh of relief
"You...Stayed up the whole night with her, you're lucky I was here to help you heal while you slept"
Baizhu smiled, "Thank you Changsheng"
he then turned back to you as he went to go retrieve your now dry clothes, Baizhu then took down his braid and bun to fix them so he wouldn't look too rigid when you woke up, he also went to go wash his face along with some other usual care things that he did In the morning
while he was away you woke up to find Changsheng looking after you, "Changsheng?"
"Good morning sleepy head"
you sat up as you then noticed you were wearing different clothes, "....."
"Do you remember last night?" she asked
you started thinking back and it soon registered, "Yes...I was sick and..."
"Baizhu spent the whole night looking after you, don't worry he put on a blindfold when he helped you change clothes"
you nodded, "I see...."
you then brought your hand's to rest above your heart, "Is he alright? I hope he didn't overdo It"
"You know him already, when It comes to you he'd do all he can"
a blush came to your cheek's as you then remembered the kiss again, that wasn't a dream or hallucination at all your first kiss with Baizhu had happened but you wondered...what now?
you stood up as you smoothed out the white fabric, then getting changed back into your usual outfit that was now dry and you'd definetly properly wash It sometime later on. just as you heard the door creak open as you got back into the bed as you saw Baizhu
his eye's widened slightly as he saw you awake, he then came over to your side
"How do you feel?" he asked
"Much better...but still a little dazed"
Baizhu smoothed your hair back, "Alright, just take It easy for a while I'll go get you something to eat"
"Thank you..."
you then bit your lip, "Baizhu...should we talk about yesterday"
Baizhu chuckled and this made you taken aback, just as he brought a hand to rest on your cheek all the while he drew in closer to run his thumb over your lips "What else Is there to discuss?"
you blushed, "......"
his expression then became serious, "I love you"
your eye's widened as you met his eye's, "you do..."
Baizhu smiled warmly, "I do and It took me quite a bit to realize how I felt"
you felt your heartbeat quicken, just as you started to smile before you hugged him and he brought his arm's around you In return all the while he then nuzzled into your neck
"how long?" you asked
"Who knows...perhaps when I first met you a year ago"
Baizhu then parted from you a little, "I'm sorry for pushing you away all those time's before...I never wanted to hurt you it was just that I....I didn't think I was good enough for you...I thought to myself many time's surely you'd want someone healthier"
you shook your head, "Baizhu...you're good enough for me, your Condition's never made me love you any less"
Baizhu drew closer as he rested his forehead against yours, "you are...truly so lovely"
you giggled as you blushed and leaned into his touch, he then laced your fingers together before parting once more as he captured your lips with his own with it being a loving kiss. not full of the yearning or desperation like it was before and as you kissed him back you sighed into it
Baizhu brought you closer before he broke the kiss, and he enveloped you in his arms before he lied down to bring you down with him as you rested there together for a while like that. Still feeling like all of this was a dream but it wasn't, Baizhu loved you like you loved him and now you were cuddling together In the back room of the pharmacy
you played with his side bangs a little, "how long did it take you to grow your hair?"
Baizhu laughed, "Well...let's just say It took a couple years"
"It's so silky too...and pretty" you said
Baizhu smiled, "Thank you my dear"
you blushed and felt butterflies at the pet name but you liked It very much, you then buried your face in his chest which he found to be adorable as he knew you were being bashful right now
he chuckled, "No need to be shy"
"Would you...be with me, I'm asking if you'd let me be what's called your boyfriend"
you smiled as you looked up at him, "Yes"
Baizhu smiled warmly, "I'm so glad...not that I worried about you saying no but my thoughts sometimes tried getting the best of me"
Changsheng let out a sigh, "Hey you Lovebirds...It'll be time to open up shop soon"
Baizhu then realized, "Oh yes, I wonder if Gui's arrived yet"
he cupped your cheek, "Will you be alright"
you nodded, holding his hand to your cheek "mhm, don't worry I'll just rest back here for a while longer...go on"
Baizhu gave a nod, he leaned down as you shared one last kiss before he released your hand to leave the room as he took Changsheng with him. Along the way she congratulated you both
"You finally had the guts to tell her...I'm proud of you, May you both have a lifetime together and perhaps have many children"
Baizhu's cheeks became pink, "Children?...Changsheng don't get ahead of things she and I have only just become a couple"
he stopped his steps as he then looked back to the door, with a smile coming to his lips as he then closed his eye's before looking at the sky "I may be risking a lot right now but...all I want is to be with her and share many more mornings together like this".
