The Plan

   You all went to the subway station to get to the theatre, but it was so crowded. You got anxious with all the people in costumes, pushing you as you held Ethan's hand tightly. You, Ethan, and Mindy tried to push through as the subway doors began to close. Chad tried to pull them open but he couldn't.

   "Mindy! Leila!" Sam, Tara, and Chad shouted.

   You gave Tara a reassuring thumbs up and she quickly gave you one back. You signed. You gave Mindy a nod and a shrug, as she looked annoyed.

   "Boo!" Someone said behind you, into your ear as you shook and turned around. You had almost fell into the train tracks, if Ethan didn't have his arm around you. It was some hobo in a Halloween costume. He laughed as you turned around annoyed, and you came closer to Ethan.

   "What a dickhead." He rolled his eyes and the next train pulled up.

   You guys got onto the train and you looked over to make sure Mindy got on too. She looked at you before she got into the car behind you. When you guys got into the train, you looked through the window in the back of your car to see Mindy. You turned around and Ethan got behind you, putting his hands on your hips. He felt a bit tense and shaky.

   You tilted your head up and looked at him. "Are you ok, E?" You asked.

   "Yeah. Yeah I'm fine." He says. You smile and nod, turning your head back around. As you guys get off the subway, you grab his hand and immediately look for Mindy.

   "Mindy! Mindy!" You shout. You can't find her anywhere.

   With the mix of all the people pushing and shoving you, the loud voices, not being able to find Mindy, it was too much.

   You turned back to Ethan with teary eyes. "Ethan, I can't find Mindy. What if something happened to her"

   He looked down at you. "Leila, it's ok. You know Mindy is strong. I mean, what's the worst that could happen? It's a public subway." He said.

   You nodded and wiped your eyes. As you guys exited the station, you pulled out your phone and texted Mindy.

   "Hey did you get off? I couldn't find u anywhere" you texted. No reply.

   You kept looking back at your phone, when you guys eventually arrived at the cinema. Before you and Ethan entered, he grabbed your hand. You turned around.

   "Leila.. I don't want you to go in there. I can't risk you getting hurt." He said softly.

   "And I can't risk you getting hurt either" you replied, kissing him on the cheek before you walked in. He signed and followed after you.

   "I'm gonna go find Chad" Ethan said. You nodded and he walked away, as you went up to Sam, who was glaring at Billy Loomis' case.

   "Hey Sam, me and Ethan are here but we couldn't find Mindy. She got on the car behind us, and then when we got off we searched everywhere but it was so crowded and loud. I texted her but she hasn't answered yet." You said.

   She nodded "Ok, I'll text her. Where's Ethan?" She said.

   "He went to go find Chad." You replied.

   You noticed a knife in Sam's back pocket, but you didn't bother to ask. Just then, Sam got a phone call from Officer Bailey. He said that Kirby was ghost face. She was planning to trap you. Your aunt? Sam tried to open the elevator and it wouldn't budge.

   "Fuck. We need to get out of here." She said. I ran after her as she sprinted to find Chad and Tara. You bumped into them and all turned around to run. Ghost face chased you all down until you got to a room and another one came out. They both stabbed Chad. You covered your mouth in shock as Tara screamed and cried, and you helped Sam hold her back. You guys picked up some bricks and ran, until you were surrounded.

   "Are you guys ready?" Sam asked. Neither you or Tara answered, as you were scared to death and Tara was still crying about Chad.

   "Tara, Leila, I need you guys to be ready. Are. You. Ready?" She repeated herself.

   "I'm ready." You say, shaking your head up and down.

   "Me too." Said Tara, sniffling.

    Just then, you all hear a gunshot and turn around. It's Kirby.

   "Kirby, stay back. We know it's you." Sam said.

   "No.." you whispered.

   "What..? One.. one of them knocked me out.." she said.

   "Gun down, Kirby." Officer Bailey appeared.

   "You're crazy!" She shouted. "Whatever he's been telling you.. he's lying! You don't believe this, right Leila?" You stared at her sadly. You didn't know who you could trust anymore.

   Then, a ghost face ran up behind Bailey.

   "Behind you!" She shouted. Bailey shot her.

   "NO!" You screamed, sobbing. "No, no, no..."

   "Good job. Both of you." Bailey said. He looked at the ghost face to his right, waiting for him to pull off his mask. "Well? come on now" he said.

   The ghost face sorrowfully pulled off their mask and put their head down with a sad look.

   "Ethan?" You said softly.
