ROSALIE'S POV

A soft knock at the front door draws me from my own consuming thoughts of my appearance. My hair is unevenly curled and my makeup doesn't seem up to par in my opinion, but I don't have time to change it. A soft sigh leaves my lips with the realization.

Another knock sounds after my moment of neglect from answering it. I rush out of the room with my purse in hand and towards the front door, taking a deep breath before moving forward.

"Hi!" I greet sweetly once the door is open. Harry is standing on the other side with a handsome smirk on his perfect lips.

"Hey, baby. You look breathtaking." He compliments while leaning in towards me. His lips press a soft kiss to mine for a split second, then he pulls away all too soon.

His compliment makes me feel slightly better about my appearance, but I still feel worried about the whole evening. Harry invited me out this afternoon and wouldn't tell me where he planned to take me.

The whole afternoon on my behalf consisted of embarrassment from this morning, and worry about this evening. He seems to not be weirded out about my strange mood this morning and I assumed him proceeding to ask me out meant something good.

"Thank you. You look nice, too." I answer back. He's dressed in a casual black t-shirt and a black jeans, which is completely out of the ordinary for him. The only time I ever see Harry in something other than a button up is when he's working out.

"Thank you. Are you ready to go?" He looks away from me and into the apartment. I suddenly feel self-conscious of upholding the place on my own now that he's been out of the house for over a month.

"Yeah, I am. Did you want to come in for a second? Take a walk down memory lane?" I joke stupidly. Harry doesn't seem amused.

"Uh..." He lifts his hand to rub his chin, clearly unsure of how to reject me.

"Maybe later. Let's get going." He reaches for my hand and our fingers clasp together as we step out the door. I know it's a weird subject for both of us thinking about our old life together.

"Will you tell me where we're going now?" I ask once we step outside. Harry shakes his head and smiles mischievously while leading me over to our sleek black car parked in front of the building. Geoff and I exchange friendly nods, then moments later, I'm squished into the backseat with Harry scooted in directly beside me.

"Can you give me a hint?" I continue to press on. His hand moves from his lap to lay on my upper thigh instead. Heat coils in my stomach from the action, but I try my hardest to hide it.

"Your mouth is probably going to hurt tomorrow because you'll be doing so much with it tonight. Maybe you'll even be rewarded with a creamy treat after all of that licking." He leans in to kiss my neck and I'm putty in his hands seconds later.

"But Geoff's in here..." I glance at the front seat, then back at Harry. He only continues to smirk.

"He knows what my intentions are." He firmly answers. I lean back in my seat and don't ask anymore questions.

Twenty minutes later, my cheeks are burning red from embarrassment once the car stops in front of mine and Harry's favorite ice cream parlor. He's been rubbing my thigh with his hand throughout the drive and carrying on a conversation with me as if to distract me. I assumed he was trying something sneaky, but he really just didn't want me to suspect that we were getting ice cream.

"Did I have you fooled?" He asks knowingly as I step out of the car. I only glare playfully at him in response.

Our hands find each other's at our sides again while Harry leans down to the car window to say something to Geoff. Geoff only nods respectfully, then starts the car again and pulls away from the curb. Harry turns back to me with a sweet smile and motions for me to move towards the shop.
