I was getting ready for the rodeo. "Hey!" My mom said outside my room. "Yea?" I asked. "You done yet? Cause your friends are impatient." She said. "Yea I'm done.." I was walking out the room. "All set, your Cala is already in her trailer." My dad said with a smile. Cala is my horse. I ran out of the house because I was about to be late. I jumped in the car with the other's already in it. "If you don't mind, I sat Jack in the middle." My mom said. I opened the car door and he was in the middle. I sighed and sat down next to him and slammed the door.
Rodeo-
I was pulling Cala out and put a saddle on her. "She's pretty." Jack said with his hands in his front pockets. I looked up, "Um thanks." I replied. "Where did you get her?" He asked. "I got her in chico." I rolled my eyes. "Hmm.." He nodded. "What do you do with her?" He asked another question. "I do forward fender, Indian Hideaway, one foot stand , spritz stand, shoulder stand, back drag, hippodrome, vault, reverse one foot stand, and spin the horn. And I also do dances when I have time." I smiled. His eyes widened. "You do all of that on your first round?" He asked. "Um some, but I have three rounds at every rodeo." I smiled. Lexi, Angel and my parents already found a spot to sit and Jack sat next to them.
Rodeo Speaker- Howdy-howdy! Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen. We all know who's going first in the first round! Charlyann White!
I came out of the stall with Cala waving at everyone. I stood up on the horse and continued waving.
Rodeo Speaker- Look how beautiful her outfit is!
I laid forward some and held her saddle. I did one foot stand while Cala was going faster around the stalls. I flipped and did a shoulder stand. I flipped lastly again and did an Indian hideaway. And then we went back into the stall.
Rodeo Speaker- That's it for Charlyann, but that's not the end for her tricks for today!
Everyone cheered in the background when I put her back in her stall. I heard someone approaching behind me. "That was awesome." Jack said. "Ah!" I screamed. "You scared me you asshole!" I slapped his shoulder. "You're not supposed to be back here." I said. "I don't care.. I'm trying to hide from the fan girls." He said while looking behind himself. I sighed, "I'm going out to watch with the others." I grabbed his hand and went to the others to sit. When I let go of his hand, I realized that I was holding it.
I sat, and looked at him. He looked nervous for some reason. "You okay?" I asked. "I have too many girls around me that are fangirls.." He said without his teeth moving. I looked behind him and saw all of them gossiping to each other. I sighed, "You guys need to stop." I said to them, "Who are you?" One of the girls asked. "I'm.. his frie- I mean his girlfriend." I said to them, "So? He's better than you because he's a movie star." They smiled. I stood up and grabbed one by their collar. "What.. I.. mean.. Is.. BACK OFF!" I punched her in the face. "Charlie!" Lexi yelled. "Wo-wow." Angel said while putting his fist against his mouth with a chuckle. "Hey-hey.. That's enough Charlie." Jack tried to pull me away while I was screaming at her. "You fucking bitch aren't any good for him." I spit in her face.
Rodeo Speaker- Who is that over there beating the girl up?!.. Charlyann!.. Oh my! You are disqualified for your next rounds!
"Look what you did, you hoe! You made me lose my trophy!" I pulled my arms away from Jack. Angel and Lexi had to help Jack get me out of the rodeo. "I hate you!" I yelled at them while I was flipping the bird at them. I got in the car while crossing my arms. "You had a choice!" My mother was yelling at me. "That was bad behavior Charlyann." My dad said while I was looking out the window. "I don't need your guy's opinion!" I yelled back. My mom and dad looked at each other. "We're going to talk when we get home, do you understand?" My mother said. I looked at her and scuffed then looked out the window. "Do you understand Charlyann Laura White!?" She yelled. "Sure!" I yelled back again. Lexi and them got into the car. "We have to take you guys home, because Charlie doesn't want to mind her own parents." My mother said while looking at me from the mirror.
We dropped each and one of them off to their house. We dropped off Jack last, "Bye.. Charlie." He smiled and shut the door gently. "Why all of the sudden you act so.. Different?" My dad asked. I shrugged my shoulders. "Is it because of that boy Jack?" They asked at the same time. My eyes widened, "No!" I squealed. They both chuckled. "So it is him?" My mom asked. I just frowned, still looking out the window. "Babe! We have to not punish her, cause.. You know." My mother said. My father sighed, "Fine.."
We pulled into the driveway. I got out of the car and slammed the door behind me and ran into my room. I jumped onto my bed while texting Lexi.
Lexi and her convo-
Me- Yo! I didn't get my phone taken
Lexi- Yay! Well? Are you grounded?
Me- Nope 😀
Lexi- That's what I'm talking about! So Saturday, are you going to be free so we can go to Rebecca's birthday party?
Me- I'm not doing anything that day, so ya we can go
Lexi- Cool can't wait 😁
Convo ended
I turned off my phone and sat up. I stood up and changed into some pajamas. I walked back to my bed and sat down. I picked up my phone and checked the calendar. It's already Thursday and 2 more days until Rebecca's birthday party. I don't even like her, but Lexi does. Ever since Rebecca started to be more of a city girl, I started to hate her. She even took my boyfriend back in 8th grade and played him. Everything about her is annoying.
I plugged my phone into its charger and sat it on my nightstand. I turned off my light and rolled over to sleep, but couldn't. My mind was too busy thinking about Jack. Did I really beat those girls up because of Jack? I literally spit in one girl's face, and literally punched the other one. I forgot! I really called myself his girlfriend. I wonder what his reaction was when I said that.
He probably doesn't like me the way I like him. Why do I like this city boy? I'm not into the city boys, I think they're gross. But something about him.. I like. He's perfect for me.
