Step left. Illusion turn. Slide right. Slide forward. There was a tightness in the air as we danced. We had a competition that is currently making waves in the city, it's a dance competition. And as for the prize, the winners will receive a significant reward of 100,000 yen in a week and there had a lot of arguing between almost everyone and anyone in the group.

Now we had to practice with this thickness in the air, tight almost to a suffocating point. I honestly just wanted to get back home. my dad has been home for at least an hour now and is probably bored out of his mind. Time always seems to move ten times slower when you want to leave.

I could feel my breakfast trying to make a second appearance as I danced, feeling I'm about to puke but not at the same time was so gut-wrenching and painful that I almost burst out in tears. The wet heat in the air, with the salty smell of sweat made it worse. I wanted to lie down but I need to win, we need the money.

Our practice room was an old attic, we had multiple incidents of almost stepping on needles or getting splinters from the old wood, we need the money to fix it up or even get a new place.

Once we finished I sprinted out as fast as I could, I couldn't be late for the bus again, I didn't need to be kidnapped on my way home. I ran on the bus and to edge on my annoyance a little more there were no seats left meaning I had the absolute pleasure -not-  of standing the number of tourists only made it worse.

I looked around and I could swear I saw my cousin, he hadn't been to Japan in years though so it was very unlikely, at least I thought that until the man turned around. There he was, my one and only cousin. I instantly walked up to him, I hadn't seen him since he became a big K-pop star.

"dude, why are you here?" I asked as we hugged

"We have a concert here, we'll be here for a week"

"And you didn't tell me," I said pushing him lightly, we continued to talk until he had to get off at his hotel which is when I realized I had passed my stop at least two stops ago I decided to get out and scare Steph. As I was walking behind him taking pictures that I planned to send to him I was quickly grabbed by my backpack making me let out a squeal-like scream.

"what were you doing, fans aren't allowed in here, you have to leave" Was quickly spat at me

"Ok listen here you no good lousy excuse for a human, I bet you peaked in high school and thought working out would get you so many girls when you got older but that didn't work cause you have to have a good personality too these days so now your picking on a teenage boy who was doing nothing wrong. You look like an absolute creep. You need to mind your business all I was doing was going to tease my cousin. If you want to try and correct your tone you should do it now cause I am not going to have some sad middle-aged man who lives a pitiful life tell me what I am and am not going to do-" a hand was quick to cover my mouth, I looked back and there Steph was apologizing and taking me as far away from the man -who kinda looked like he was going to cry-.

"Why did you follow me and pick a fight with him"

"He was rude first and I missed my stop" He only rolled his eyes before putting his arm around my neck and leading me somewhere

"Tell your dad you're here, we can hang out for a little" I nodded and make quick work of telling my dad as he unlocked a door to what I am assuming was his room. When we walked in I was met with like ten eyes too many, and five people too many.

"Hello," I said quickly trying to dodge any eye contact. Steph was quick to introduce everyone while I did my go-to when in a room with people, I pulled out my phone and acted like I was doing something.
