Staring into the mirror, the young girl could not understand a single thing. She was touching her cheeks, as pale as the moon, small white marks similar to a galaxy. Her eyes became as blue as the starry night, far from the golden ones she always had. Her pupil was not black but it was a star, a gold star.
" How can I even see with such a pupil...- She thought to herself - Is it even... Human like?"
She started to wonder, sighing a bit while trying to calm herself down. What happened? How could she be in another place? She hoped she did not die, at least. This kind of situation only happen in stories, right?
Gabriel. How was he? What had happened to him? Knowing him, Selene knew he would be worried sick for her. After all, it was not something that could happen so easily... Only a magician would end up somewhere else with a silly trick!
" Your Highness, can I come in? "
The voice took her out of her thoughts as the white hair girl raised her head. Ah, yes. That was true, she was... a princess here, for now. She stood up, swallowing her saliva. Everything would be fine, no? It might just be a silly dream, a vivid dream, was it not? The girl knew she had no choices but to accept this situation, until she found a way out.
" You may, do not worry.
- Bless the shining star of the kingdom. - Said the man who entered the bedroom - I heard you fell your Highness. The maid told me you looked like you saw a ghost.
- Ah... I deeply apologize for worrying you! But I feel better. It was just a moment of... absence."
Selene smiled, scratching her left cheek, a little bit embarrassed. According to the bag he was carrying, he might be the Palace's doctor. It was not really a surprise for her, he had the look for it. He was small, old, and had little round glasses on his nose. She thought of one of her old math teachers at school and laughed a bit.
" Your Highness? Are you okay? - Asked the maid a bit surprised
Yes, I am! Just thought about something funny, excuse me! "
The doctor and the maid exchanged a surprised look but the man smiled too. He held out his hand for Selene and kindly explained to her he had to run some exams before leaving, as he wanted to be sure she had nothing serious.
