" Astoria Sweeny changed lives with so little effort. She once told me she had no purpose on this earth if she wasn't protecting. Not only did she protect, she healed the broken and found the lost a place. I've never planned for a time where I'd have to live without her, but she will always continue to shine like gold in my memories." I think those were the hardest words I've had to say. After the funeral ceremony, I escaped to the graveyard and sat against her headstone, not caring that I was getting dirt and mud on my dress.  After half an hour or so, I saw Stephen walking towards me. He sat beside me and said nothing for a while, until he did,
" Everyone's wondering where you are, you know ?" He told me,
" I don't care." I replied coldly. A few minutes of silence passed, and it was me who broke it this time, " How can everyone act so ok ?" I asked him. He looked across at me,
" Because, rather than mourn the fact she isn't here anymore, they're celebrating the fact she was here in the first place." He explained. I sighed,
" I don't know how long 'ok' is going to take, is that normal ?" I regretted the words as soon as I said them, and I was tempted to tell him  to forget about it, but I didn't,
" Of course it is, no one expects you to. All you need to know is that you have people that can help you get to that point." He clarified. I wiped my face,
" You know what, that whole celebrating the fact she was here thing sounds alright." I admitted, he turned to me again, " It sounds like something she would have wanted." He smiled slightly,
" It does, doesn't it ?" Without another word, he helped me up and we walked to where the others were.
