Prologue

It all began with a group of seven boys. They were friends who went to school together, worked together and shared a close bond. However, fate had something else in store for them, and their lives were never the same again.

One particular night, the group of boys were supposed to be home by ten o'clock, just like any other day. Sunghoon and Jungwon were among them, and they would usually walk to school, work and back home together. However, this night was different because it was almost eleven, and there was no sign of them anywhere.

Their mothers grew increasingly worried and decided to report their sons missing. The police were contacted, but it was too early to determine anything significant at that point.

The following morning, a jogger made a gruesome discovery. A body was found mutilated, burnt beyond recognition, dental records identified the body as Park Sunghoon's.

The entire community of Caershire was thrown into a state of panic as they tried to find Jungwon. However, there was no trace of him in the forest, and the last place he was seen was leaving the bakery he worked at with Sunghoon.

The authorities had only one piece of evidence to go on - five other boys were seen walking out of the bakery, heading in the same direction as Sunghoon and Jungwon before they all disappeared into the forest. The mystery of the two missing boys only deepened with every passing day, leaving their friends and families with more questions than answers.
