It was Aemond's thirteenth nameday and Fern had been expecting the visitors all day thus far.
It was late afternoon when the Princes actually arrived, and she'd been reading in her room when she'd been joined by a drunk Aegon and his little brother.
The older Prince had his arm wrapped around Aemond's shoulder, his free hand clutching a chalice, as he guided him inside.
Fern sat up.
“My princes.” She inclined her head, being sure to send Aemond a small, sympathetic, smile.
He did not reciprocate.
“He's been like this all day.” Aegon said, shoving his arm. He plopped down onto the bed, collapsing beside Fern and she smiled down at him. “You'd think I was taking him to the gallows.”
Fern tutted gently, resting a hand on Aegon's cheek as she looked over to Aemond. “Happy nameday, Prince Aemond. It's sad to see you so glum on such a day.”
“It is the same as any other day.” Aemond insisted, glancing over at his brother with his one good eye. “Aegon, I don't think mother would–”
“It's your day, brother. Have some fun. I intend to.” Aegon said, pulling Fern under him. “More women! More wine!”
She rolled her eyes, but kissed him roughly as he tossed his cup aside.
Aemond didn't know where to look so he opted to stare at the floor.
More girls came in. Becca and Bella and some others that Fern couldn't see.
They all moved to Aemond, all doing their job to make sure the boys got their money worth.
But Aemond's shoulders tensed and he seemed to retreat into himself.
Fern frowned. He looked more uncomfortable than she had been during her first time. He looked terrified.
“Aegon...” She whispered as he pulled her skirt up higher. “Your brother.”
The older Prince looked behind himself to see the way Aemond had backed up against the wall. He was nervously playing with the dagger he kept on his belt at all times now.
“Come brother, it's nothing difficult.” He called out.
“I don't know... I can't–”
“It's simple. You pick one you like,” he leaned closer to Fern, “sometimes two or three you like,” she hit his arm, “and you...” He lifted Fern's legs, wrapping them around himself, before pushing into her.
She and Aemond accidentally made eye contact as she moaned. And, by then, he couldn't look away.
Aegon pushed into her again, her hips grinding against his as he did. She could still feel Aemond's watchful eye on her as she pulled Aegon in for a kiss.
Her back arched against the bed and she had to desperately grip the bedsheets as Aegon's speed increased. Hard and fast and hungry, pounding into her.
“Aegon...” She cried out, pulling at the bedding. Her fingers were balled into fists around the sheets.
Again, again, again. Each thrust deeper than before.
Fern was a mess beneath him, writhing with pleasure.
Aegon kissed her neck, nipping at the skin softly as he did, and the action forced Fern to turn her head to the side. She looked over at Aemond, who was looking right back at her.
Transfixed.
Not on his brother.
Not on the girls that were pushing up against him.
On her.
Her fingers laced through Aegon's hair as he left marks of his very own on her supple skin. Marks that would stay with her for a while.
One of the girls pushed Aemond down onto a chair.
The others started unlacing his trousers.
He froze in place.
She watched as Bella lowered her mouth onto the poor prince. Somehow, it only seemed to serve to make him more tense. Momentarily, he looked away from Fern to stare at her. But immediately, his attention returned to her.
Fern moaned as she reached her end, clenching around Aegon as she did. It drove him over the edge, but this time he managed to pull out of her first.
They lay down together, breathing heavy.
Aegon kissed her again.
“My Prince, you certainly know how to treat your subjects.” She grinned.
He eyed her up again. “Next time we'll take the dress off.”
It was easy enough to unlace, and so she did exactly that and pulled the garment off.
Both Princes stared at her.
But Aegon was the only one to act, grabbing her hand and beckoning her back to him.
She shook her head.
“Bella, help Prince Aegon would you?” She said, surprising the older boy. “The rest of you out.”
The other girls looked shocked, scandalised even, but after some hesitation they obeyed and closed the door behind them.
Bella sauntered over to Aegon, her transparent silk skirt swooshing around her as she did
Aegon was about to grin, about to beckon Fern back to join them, when he saw her walk over to Aemond instead.
The red haired girl sat on top of him, distracting him only for mere seconds before he pushed her aside.
“Do you trust me?” Fern whispered.
Aemond clenched his jaw and looked away. “I don't trust–”
“Do you trust me to do this?”
He glanced back up at her, his one eye so wide and helpless.
She couldn't help but feel sorry for him. Couldn't help but remember how she'd felt waiting for the bid on her maidenhead to be over, waiting for something awful to happen. Something she knew she wasn't ready for.
But she'd had Aegon. And he'd held her and been someone she knew, someone she trusted, someone she felt safe with.
Aemond deserved the same.
He nodded.
Slowly, she sat down on his lap – sinking onto him.
He gripped her back, resting his head against her chest.
She softly stroked his pale hair as she rolled her hips. Slowly. Gently.
From behind her, she heard Bella huff as Aegon knocked her off him. He sat up, infuriatingly displeased that Fern had decided to go to Aemond instead of him.
Just like their mother.
Just like how their father chose Rhaenyra.
“Are you alright?” She whispered in Aemond's ear sweetly.
He nodded again, holding onto her tightly as she sank deeper onto him.
Aegon grabbed the nearest drink, draining it dry.
It wasn't enough.
So he grabbed another and let Bella continue touching him as he glared daggers into Fern and his little brother.
Fern touched Aemond's cheek, making him look up at her.
He seemed so embarrassed. He could barely look her in they eye, his face a deep shade of red.
She kissed his cheeks. His nose. His forehead. Everywhere. Whispering sweet words to him.
“Gods...” She gripped his shoulders.
He blinked up at her, concern dawning on his face. Until he saw her smile.
She whined softly, the same way she'd done for his brother, and her pace began to grow a little faster.
Aemond grabbed her thighs, pulling her down onto him. He couldn't help it.
Whatever she was doing, whatever this was, felt good.
A small sound escaped his lips as he buried himself completely inside her.
“The little Prince isn't so little after all.” She whispered so only he could hear, and his cheeks darkened again. “Don't stop.”
So he didn't. He moved his own hips in time with hers, listening to her soft moans with every thrust.
She rested her head on his shoulder, whispering his name again and again.
He'd heard her scream for Aegon in the Keep. He'd heard her moaning his older brother's name just moments before.
But it was him she praised like some old God in that moment.
And his name sounded so much sweeter on her tongue.
“Aemond...” She moaned, making Aegon once again lose all interest in the red haired girl that was trying desperately to satisfy him. “Gods, Aemond.”
The Prince was making noises of his own, noises that Fern rather liked, his breathing ragged and his skin hot.
She was moving faster, harder, speeding up as she felt him tense inside of her.
“Tell me when you're about to finish, alright?” She said gently.
He nodded.
Just as he'd seen Aegon do, he kissed her neck and Fern threw her head back at the feeling.
Aemond's hair was messy, his head clouded with a feeling he'd never had before, and Fern relished in it.
“Fern, I think–”
She pulled off of him just in time for him to finish.
Gently, she guided his right hand down to her core.
He didn't particularly seem to know what to do but he tried and so, with a small laugh, she helped him finish her off.
“Good boy.” She whispered as she writhed on top of him.
Aemond held onto her, keeping her in his arms.
Then she collapsed against him with a heavy sigh of relief.
He didn't let go of her, just buried his head into the crook of her neck and didn't dare open his one eye.
Aegon once again pulled away from Bella. She wasn't what he wanted and it was doing nothing for him.
He dismissed her, waving her off and, with a grumble, she left the room.
The door closed again as Aemond and Fern softly panted against each other.
“Congratulations, brother.” Aegon called out, his voice cold. He poured himself more wine. “You're a man. You can go home if you want.”
Fern looked over her shoulder at him and shook her head in disbelief. “Aegon.”
“What? I'm not going.” He shrugged, making himself comfortable in her bed.
“No one said you had to. Just at least give the poor boy a moment.”
“How do I... Pay you?” Aemond asked meekly, already looking like what had just happened was beginning to dawn on him.
Fern smiled, patting his cheek as she stood up. “You already taught me to read, little prince. I'd say that's payment enough for this one.” She took his hand. “Would you like to stay?”
Aemond shook his head. “I should go home. To mother.”
She nodded understandingly, squeezing his hand.
“Do you want Aegon to walk–”
“No.” Both boys said in unison.
She was about to pull her hand away when Aemond squeezed it back, drawing her attention back to him.
He stared up at her, eye locking with hers.
He didn't say a word... And yet he said a thousand silently.
She smiled. “Alright. Be safe, my Prince. Happy nameday to you.”
Aemond gulped, nodding and looking away.
When he left, her room was silent.
Outside, Fern heard the other women whistle at him and call out innuendos. It made her stomach churn at the thought of him speeding off alone.
She turned slowly to face Aegon, who was leaning on one arm and staring back at her with his eyes narrowed.
“Why did you do that?”
She walked over slowly, sitting down on the end of the bed. “He looked... I didn't want his first time to be with some... I don't know, some whore that he didn't even know. A cheap thing with no tenderness.”
“Why not? Mine was.” He scoffed into his wine. “He still fucked a whore. It could've been any girl. Why you?”
Fern folded her arms. “Why would you not bed Bella? Why do you care so much?”
“I can care if I want to.”
“Whoever he buys. That's what you told me last week. That you didn't care. That he could have whoever he wanted, including me. Well, he wanted me.”
“Ah, so that's what this is. You did it to annoy me?”
She stood up, running a hand frustratedly through her hair. “Not everything is about you.”
Aegon stood too, seeming just as frustrated.“So you wanted to? You wanted him?”
She glared up at him. “I–” None of the words she could think of were right. “Fuck.”
She moved forwards, kissing him roughly.
Aegon kissed her back just as hard, slamming her back against the wall. She bit down on his lip hard, drawing blood. So he pulled her legs up around him again and thrust into her roughly.
“Were you thinking about me?” He asked, slamming into her again. “With him?”
Fern clawed at his back, her head falling back against the cold wall.
“Yes.” She lied, and she wished it was the truth.
“Who do you want?”
“You. Only you. Always you, Aegon.”
The next few hours did not get any more gentle. Not that Fern minded. My little baby bean war criminal was not living laughing or loving this chapter :((
