"Mama I'm home!" Ja called out, no response
That's weird, she usually comes running, jumping on him
She has been off for a few days, he's been trying to talk to her but she always changed the subject
He glanced into the living room and his heart dropped
He saw Journey passed out, half of her body leaning off of the couch
He rushed over to her, seeing a note at her feet he picked it up scanning over it quickly, it read:
Dear Temetrius,
You are the best thing that ever happened to me, from that day in kindergarten I knew I was destined to spend the rest of my life with you, you are my everything and I'm sorry it had to end like this, just know you are not at fault, if my love for you could keep me alive you wouldn't be reading this, I hope this encourages you to be better . I can't take it anymore, everything is too much, and I hate lying to you, so I'm sorry baby, I love you .
Tears fell as he looked over at the coffee table seeing an empty bottle of pills
"No" his voice cracked
He leaned down to her, placing his head on her chest, he heard a very, very faint heart beat
He picked her up placing her stomach on the back side of the couch as he stuck his fingers down her throat
He heard her gag as he did it again, and again, and again, until she finally threw up over the couch, heaving repeatedly, throwing up a yellow-greenish liquid
She fell back on him, still unconscious he felt her pulse, it was stronger
He threw her back over the couch sticking his fingers back down her throat as she threw up more, gasping
"no" she cried out
She leaned back on him, panting
He laid her down going to wash his hands
He called their maid Maria to clean up the throw up, he then fired her, for not making sure his fiancée was okay
He walked back over to her as she sat up, looking down with her hands in her lap, fiddling her fingers
He sat on the ottoman in front of her, just staring at her
She looked up seeing his tear stained face, immediately looking back down, tears of her own forming
"why" he asked quietly, voice cracking
"just drop it Jamel" she replied
This pissed him off immediately
"What?" He said standing up
"Just drop it? You gotta be fuckin kidding me Journey"
"Leave it alone, I'm fine"
"Fine?! YOU WERE HALF DEAD WHEN I WALKED IN WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN"
She flinched, but he didn't care, of all the shit of hers he puts up with, she crossed a line
"I'm sorry"
"Sorry it not going to help you, why, why did you try to commit suicide Journey, why did you try to LEAVE ME?!" He yelled
"I constantly try to talk to you, I always try to see what's wrong and you shut me out but this, this is too fucking far Autumn, why, why did you do this"
