Reaping district 2

(POV: Briana)

I woke up ready to start a normal day until I realized it was reaping day. I had to find Jacob. We had been together since our very first reaping day. I quickly got dressed and ran out the door. There he was. I ran straight into his arms. "It's going to be ok, I promise." He whispered in my ear holding me tight. We stayed together until 30 minutes before the reaping. The next few minuets where a blur. Next thing I knew I was in line about to get my blood taken. I scan the sea of people for Jacob. Our eyes meet only to be pulled away by the awkwardly dark woman. "Happy hunger games." She said with a fake, and large smile. "This year the boys will go first." I look at Jacob I could tell he was nervous. I just kept telling my self it would be ok. She pulled out a name and went up to the stand. "Jacob Anderson." I look strait at him, his face blank with fear. I wanted to run to him now. I couldn't hold back the tears any longer. I felt the tears falling of my face. Once he got on stage he froze staring at me. I mouthed I love you. He mouthed something back but i couldn't read his lips. Then the woman picked up another piece of paper. "Briana Cook." I quickly wiped my tears and walked on stage. I could never win this against him. "Well shake hands!" I didn't want to, all I wanted to do was hug him and to hear him say he loves me to.
