Love is simply a sandwich made of gold
Once before glowing with radiance now
Slowly fading, dimming, and growing mold
Now the time's all gone and I don't know howSometimes I start to miss the best of days
Recounting the memory of that sandwich
When it was the one by my side always
Life it has never once failed to enrichBut bread and ketchup can't last forever
And time will bring to the sandwich its doom
Know that I will forget that flavor never
Now that perfect sandwich is in the tombHow sandwich did once shine so very bright
But now in the tomb it's just out of sight
