The Kinsley female did not waste time. She left a small note for Sebastian to read and inform the young Phantomhive lord of her departure.
She made her way to the manor as it started pouring heavily. Just her luck. In less than a day the circus would attack the Phantomhive the mansion and she'd have a cold at best. She wanted to use her powers to get there faster or simply teleport there but. . . She liked the feeling of cold rain drops on her face. It was refreshing and, for the first time, she felt at peace. Not inner peace, that she knew she could never have. Everything was quiet. No fights. No back-stabbing or manipulation. Just something normal; rain.
The way back was long but she didn't care. Sometimes she enjoyed walking like the mundane people. She recalled being envious of them when she was a child. None of them had to deal with the supernatural beings such as demons, Shadowhunters, grim reapers, warlocks, faeries and more.
When she arrived at the establishment, she didn't even realize it until she tripped on the first step. She brought her knee up to her chest, she had scrapped it a little. Great, I must be losing my mind.
She stumbled back to her feet and then walked up the stairs before knocking on the heavy door. She waited for a few moments, something that she wasn't quite fond of, and then it opened and was greeted by Tanaka who was shocked to see her.
"Oh lady Kinsley!" he said, he noticed that her hair and clothes were wet. He brought her inside quickly. "You should have informed us, m'lady. We could sent a carriage to bring you here."
"I wanted to go on foot." she said tiredly and then sneezed
"Let's get you some warm clothes." he said and escorted her to her chambers. "If there is anything you need, do not hesitate to call."
She simply nodded as she walked into her room. Tanaka closed the door in his way out. The h/c haired woman sighed as she changed into her nightwear. Afterward, she just stood in the middle of the room. Watching out of the window and into the night sky. The soft light of the stars was so calming that she felt herself getting sleepy. So she slumped on the bed, not bothering to get under the covers, and closed her eyes.
Y/n was woken up by the sound of screeching. She let out a surprised yelp as she rolled to the side and fell to the floor, hitting her head. She didn't have time to think about pain as she grabbed the knife under her pillow and rushed to see what was all that havoc about in the middle of the night.
She stopped right on the top of the staircase as she saw the room filled with pretty frilly pink bows and the servants dressed into dresses as well as Mey-Rin being chased by Elizabeth Midford. Her face even though it was expressionless, she let out a sigh of relief as she dropped the knife.
Elizabeth stopped running after the maroon-red haired woman and turned to y/n with an excited grin. "Y/n♡!" Lizzy hugged the girl in question and started twirling her around. "I am so happy to see you again! How's Ciel?"
"He's. . . okay. . . I suppose."
"What about you?"
A beat.
"I'm alright."
"You sound. . . sad. More than usual." She gasped, an idea crossing her mind. "How about a sleepover? That will cheer you up for sure!"
"Uhh. . .--"
The female didn't have the time to answer when the blonde grabbed her arm and dragged her into the former's room.
