The Owl Lady Case(complete)

Chapter l

As Raine was walking through the halls of their department, heading down the their chiefs office.  As they enter cheif bump smiles apon seeing them. "Ah! Officer whispers! I have exciting news"   Raine smiles at the warm welcome. "Oh! Well what is it?"
"I'm giving you the owl lady case" Raine now had a confused look on their face. "I-isnt that the insolvable case?"    "Well.. Yes, but I have faith in you!" Raine takes the case file and opens it. "WE DON'T EVEN HAVE HER NAME!?" they question.  "Uh.. Good luck!!" He says pushing Raine out.   Raine goes to their office then gets a call.

"Heyy!!! There's my favorite cop!"

"Hey calamity.. "

"Yeah okay no, what's wrong?"

"W-what?.. N-nothing"

"Nope! Dont lie to me whispers"

".. Fine.. I was just given a really hard case and we don't even have her name"

"That's some bullshit"

"Haha.. Yeah it is, what about you?"

"Uh.. I'm.. On break"

"Oh, well I hope your day is going better than mine"

"Awh, don't worry rainey! You'll dove that case! Your the best cop in the damn city!"

"Thanks eda, your the best"

"Always am!"

"Bye lo- bye!!!"

Eda hung up quickly, leaving Raine slightly confused. But regardless they kept working trying to find anything on this case. They didn't have her name and the only few pictures are her either running away or jumping from some time of object or window. Those actions seemed familiar but they didn't look to much into it. So they decided to do one last patrol, it was night time so maybe they'd find something. Then somebody ran up to their car. "Hey!! My store was just robbed!" Raine got out the car and looked around. Then saw somebody slide on the hood of their car giving them the middle finger. They were slightly offended but ran after that person anyway. Raine chased after the criminal through the streets until reaching an ally way. But suddenly they picked something up, and Raine took the chance to pounce. Pinning down the criminal. "Take off your mask!" They demanded. But instead, they were met with a hard knee to their chin knocking them off, and the criminal jumped a fence and ran away. Raine wasn't hurt, but slightly confused at such antics from an adult.  When they got home, they decided to call their best friend to cheer them up.

"Hey calamity, what's up"

"Nothing much rainey! Something wrong?"

"Ah, I found my criminal.. But they got away"

"Your already one step closer to bringing them to jail"

"Yeah.. But who ever it was kneed me in the chin.. "

"... W-what street did you find them on?"

"Umm, the one with the cake pops we like"

"Oh.. Shit.. Ah! Um.. Are you hurt?!"

"Well no, but who ever it was flicked me off"

"You said... You didn't have this person name?"

"Nope, but she's known as the owl lady"

"Owl lady? That's lame.. Thought I would be something cooler"

"Yeah I guess, but this girl has been wanted for 5 years"

"Not gonna lie this pretty dam  cool"

"Edaaa!! I have to catch this person"

"Uhhh...haha.. Sorry!"

"Your unbelievable calamity, how was the rest of your day?"

".... Eventful but I'm not done for the day"

"Well alright-"

Just then Raine got a call from their walkie-talkie. We need officer whispers to the meusum, robbery is in progress

"Ah shit! I'm sorry calamity I gotta go!"

"Byee! Don't get shot!"

Raine hung up laughing and shaking their head at her last words.  Then hurried and got in their car. And drove to the target. Armed themselves, then heard  glass shattering.   They ran to the sound and saw two criminals one who they assumed was the owl lady, and a man. "Hands up!" They yelled. The man pushed the owl lady forward then ran with a huge purple jewel. The owl lady, then tried to get away but Raine saw something fall out her pocket, a picture. Raine looked at it, and it was of them and eda when they were in high school. Raine was so confused. "Calamity!.." The owl lady stopped dead in her tracks. Raine walked up to her, and took off her mask. And indeed. It was eda. "... Eda?! Your a criminal!?" They asked her. "Haha... Yeah.. " Raine stood there in shock.  Then they heard Serins. "Alright alright.. Take me in" she said holding up her hands. "W-what.. N-nothing! You could go to jail for years!" Eda shrugged. "I've been before it's really not that bad"  Raine sighed and shook their head. " eda! This is serious!"   "Rainstorm, i. Got. This. Just handcuff me or whatever and il call you the first chance I get" Raine started welling up. Eda then pulled them into a hug. "Rainestorm... I'll be okay I promise.. Just do your job"  she let them go and Raine reluctantly handcuffed her and put her in the back of their car. But not even a minute later the handcuffs were thrown into the front seat. "W-what!? Eda did you-!?"     "What? Oh that? Yep" she said sitting back. "How'd you do that!? I just put those on you"      "easy, honestly you guys need better ones" Raine sighed and shook their head as the drove eda to the holding cell. And they very next day Raine wasted no time going to their chief. "Ah, Raine whispers! You caught the owl lady!"    "Well yes.. But she didn't steal that jewel! We can't charge her for that" chief bump rolled his eyes. "Regardless she's still guilty, one more charge won't hurt"    "sir please, at least give me a chance to catch who ever took it, her jail time could be worse that it needs to be" bump raised an eye brow, then sighed. "Bring her here.." Raine was shocked her grateful.  They brought her in but she still had to be cuffed. "I'm making an exception, JUST ONCE! I'll allow you to try and find whoever took that jewel, and the owl lady can help you" eda rolled her eyes. "You guys couldn't come up with a different name? Not creativity what so ever" she scoffed playfully. "Eda! Sh!" Raine said nudging her. "And I see you already know her.. You have 4 days" eda got up and threw the cuffs to bump, and a few other things.  "You guys need better handcuffs" she said walking off. "Whispers, she's your responsibility, and quiet the catch" he said to them causing Raine to go a little red.

The only question is? Can they catch this person?
